Moved to Richmond five years ago this monthšŸ˜±
One of the main reasons I was drawn to neon was the level of skill I saw in other neon benders and theyā€™re dedication to their craft. Doug was top tier, Iā€™m forever grateful for how he set the bar high for me.

Lots of new followers this past week! A little background about meā€¦ I grew up in Bolivar, NY, a small town in western New York. After I graduated from Alfred University I moved to Richmond and learned the skills of the neon trade from Douglas Solyan the original owner of Uptown Neon. That was five years ago now.ā°ā¤ļø

Last fall I made some of the neon featured in this video, Peony and Golden Rod for a solo show at Black Iris Social Club. They are available for sale on my website, or contact if youā€™d like to commission a flower that means something to you.
