🎥🎬🍿Impactful. Stunning. Inspiring.

The Richmond Environmental Film Festival (RVAEFF) 🌎 showcases a series of Virginia films that bring awareness to environmental issues facing ... well everywhere we are - the planet.

Local sponsors make it possible for this event to remain free and open to the public, where various RVA venues debut each film at a select date and time for viewers to enjoy.

These documentaries not only contain breathtaking videography of some of our favorite National Parks and outdoor environments, but share real stories and uncovered history that leave a lasting imprint to carry forward with.

There are still a few films to watch now until Mary 7th!

Like people, places can mark your soul.

They can feel familiar as if you were meant to encounter one another for reasons beyond. Haha I know that’s going deep but it’s true!

The impression lasts a lifetime no matter the purpose.

The stillness and pin-drop silence of was intimidating, almost confrontational, and then all at once consumingly peaceful.

Kind of like when you submerge yourself entirely underwater and the world just kind of disappears.

The noise stops, and you enter into a new domain.

Driving and walking around the vast 795 acres for hours felt like a meditation as we climbed rocks and explored a variety of structures and terrains.

Nothing left but our thoughts and words shared. It was cool to show up.

Hey, I get it 💯

As an entreprenur, I know first hand how hard it can be to run a business and market it at the same time ( keyword being time ha ).

Updating your website, sending an email, or sharing a piece of content takes time in itself to do, let alone to also stop and put a lot of extra thought into it.

This is where most business owners tend to approach marketing by merely promoting their products or services, with efforts that lack much intention, genuine approach or creativity.

Does your content help people trust your business? 🫂

If you want your audience to trust the humans behind your business, you’ll need to properly portray who those humans are through your brand.

You can do this by . . . matching up what your audience SEES with what they READ and HEAR. In essence, make sure your content and messaging form the same perception.

Both should:

👤 Tell the same story
👤 Honor the same values and beliefs
👤 Reveal the same personality

Humans want other humans to remain consistent in who they are, because the stability found in a secure identity tells us we can rely on another to provide us with the same experience and relationship every time we interact.

This is how we determine that they're trustworthy. 🌟

❔Has everyone supported your business in the same way(s)?

👉🏼 When you acknowledge the ‘status’ of your relationship with your audience -

- you’re able to show up for them on the same page. 📄

You connect on this mutual agreement of how well you both know each other.

😌 From here, you can start to build trust and communicate your intention(s) in the same way you would a human who is a stranger, friend, bestie, or family member.

All I’m saying is . . .

If they’re a stranger to you, don’t talk to them like you know them.

Humans don’t like this. 😅

While “feeling cool and being a part of the club” is nice to hear,

when it comes time to make a decision to invest and take action, your audience doesn’t want:

❌ to be told what’s best for them.

❌ to be pushed into supporting you BY YOU.

(A sense of urgency should always fall on your offerings and not on your choices!!)

❌ to be reassured they’re making the right decision without you showing empathy or understanding first.

In the end, it’s always comes down to treating humans like humans within the digital space.

Inauthenticity means you’re:

🫣 Only focused on making yourself look good

🫣 Not worried about bettering yourself or the quality of your character

🫣 Hiding the truth behind your product or service (or business)
