Back in March, I had the pleasure of being a mentor to a group of VCU students at who’s client was ⚾️ The student volunteers came up with a great campaign for Slyderz Baseball but they needed some assistance in creating the mascot to complete their mission. Enter Sylvester Slyder! A tongue-in-cheek nod to the name of the team using one of the most important elements of the sport.

An unused beer label design for Canon & Draw Brewing Company. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the launch of this new flavor was scrapped. But I really enjoyed collaborating with on this project. We came up with a really cool retro design that would have looked kick ass out in the wild.

Just in time for the holidays! In collaboration with is this 2A Holiday Long Sleeve. This was a fun side project for their merch line. I think the gingerbread man bullseye is my favorite thing about it.

20 years. That’s how long it’s been since the 9/11 attacks in New York, Arlington, Virginia, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. It’s surreal to think that much time has passed since the day of those tragic events. It cost the lives of countless innocent people and first responders. Not to mention those who also survived and died in the years following from effects of that toxic dust.

I’ve always I had a small but personal connection to 9/11 because as a kid my grandparents and uncle lived in NJ and Staten Island, respectively. On our way to Elizabeth, we would always see the NY skyline outside the window off of the turnpike and my mom would point out the World Trade Center to me. I never understood why she put so much emphasis on me looking out that window. But within just a few years those towers would be gone. Needless to say, the skyline never looked the same after that and deep down I think her intuition was telling her something. After all, she watched those towers get built from her classroom in New Jersey. Maybe she’s always had a connection to it, too?

People around the world watched what happened that day. All of the emotions we felt could not be described. I can only imagine what the loved ones of those who perished have felt all these years later. But I vow to remember them and their family and friends they’ve lost. It’s important that we never forget.

Last month, Guns.com celebrated their 10th anniversary. I had the pleasure of designing a logo commemorate the event. It borrows elements from their own brand mark, as well as making reference to the rim and primer of a bullet, and the company’s upward growth as a trusted name in the fi****ms industry.

WORLD FLOORBALL LEAGUE: Revamping an old project here. First I’m starting with the league’s logo marks. The new batch are the first 3 slides and the original batch are the last 3 slides.

When I finished the original concept in January of 2020, I was pleased with the direction this was going. But realized I could have done more to totally finish the job. This upcoming series will aim to do just that.
