We are so jazzed and so honored to join the board of United Way of Northwest Vermont!

We are pleased to welcome new board member Katie Titterton.

Katie Titterton is founder and co-owner of Clear Spot: a small consulting business that supports Vermont mission-driven organizations with communications content and strategy. She is a trained writer and editor with a background in nonprofit marketing, membership, and fundraising, and a lens on audience experience. She previously served as a board officer with her local restorative justice center and has volunteered with many organizations. Katie lives in Richmond with her partner and two sons.

"The team here reminds me that important, difficult work should be fun, and it's even better when that work is so effective. This culture and impact is why I am so excited to contribute to United Way of Northwest Vermont as a board member and 365 small business member."

We started Clear Spot when we had a baby and discovered the system doesn't work for working families. Yesterday, our youngest graduated from pre-K. Today, he joined other kids to sign 's Child Care Act: a long-term, major investment in kids, families, and . Huge congratulations and thanks to our friends at Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) and Let's Grow Kids and to every ECE advocate in the state on this historic day.

Today, New York Times contributors called out a pattern of bias in the paper's recent coverage of trans, non-binary, and gender nonconforming people, and connected it to the paper's historically harmful coverage of queer-identifying folks. We wholeheartedly support this letter and these writers standing up for people impacted by bias.
