We are excited to celebrate National Trails Day by releasing the official brand video! This was such a fun project, mostly because it took us to our happy place - the outdoors! If you are in South Carolina, find a trail passage near you and get out on this beautiful trail!

This video, celebrating the meaning of home during this difficult time, was created for at the onset of the shutdown. This meant that I had to create a video without leaving my house, or shooting a single clip by myself. I created this video with 100% stock video footage and licensed music. Thanks to .io & .io for making it possible for filmmakers to keep on being creative! And thank you to for believing in quality content, even in tough times!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the documentary. This was along the Wateree Passage of the . I arrived on the wateree trestle at 5 AM, preparing my video and drone equipment for a sunrise shot overlooking the Wateree River and Manchester State Forest. I wanted to capture the sun rays piercing through the morning fog and I knew that the weather conditions were supposed to be perfect that morning: Clear skies, the night had low temperatures, and the humidity was high. I also had only a small window of time, until the magical moment would dissipate. As tense as these moments can be, they are also full of wonder, as I stood on that trestle, the sky started to fill with the prettiest colors and I listened to the inhabitants of the forest wake with their morning songs. To me, this moment captures the perfect harmony between humans and nature, as you see the man-made structure of the palmetto trail getting engulfed by the magestic landscape.

For the month of July, we had the honor of documenting the South Carolina 7 expedition - which goal it was to highlight the beauty and diversity of South Carolina but also bring awareness to the flood-water concerns and mitigating and resiliency strategies currently being implemented.
A special thanks to our partners South Carolina National Heritage Corridor, Palmetto Trail and an amazing crew: Jason Parks, Sylviane Na, Megan Roe, Logan Hand

Filming in paradise. We got to experience a stunning sunrise on Bull Island, at bone yard beach.

Bull Island is part of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. This 66,000-acre refuge contains saltwater estuaries, barrier islands, freshwater impoundments and maritime forests, providing critical habitat plants and animals. Bottlenose dolphins raise their calves in these protected creeks, loggerhead sea turtles nest on the island beaches and nearly 300 species of birds migrate through or are year-round residents.
