Our Alabama Shakes poster is inspired by a Richmond vintage storefront—something close to home for us as native Richmonders, and a nod to Hannah’s roots owning a vintage shop.

Look close and you’ll spot pieces of the band’s story throughout—Brittany’s SG, her signature sunglasses, a vintage mic, and plenty more tucked in. See y’all there!

It’s been a few years since our last Billy poster, and we’re so grateful for all the love and positive feedback. For many of our new followers, The Grass Spot actually started out in the bluegrass community—working with a band that opened for him a few times, photographing shows, and building real relationships along the way.

One night after a show here in Richmond, Royal came by and we pitched the idea of Hannah doing a poster. With the help of some great friends, we finally made it happen… and here we are now.

🪴Rooted in North Carolina’s swamp cypress wetlands, this piece shows a Venus flytrap trying to claim and domesticate a rare Carolina Lily by potting it as its own. Inspired by Billy Strings’ Gild the Lily, it reflects the urge to alter something already complete. Set beneath an ancient bald cypress and framed by a picket fence, the scene becomes a distorted spring garden—a subtle nod to Greensboro’s “Gate City.”
