The Miss Roma Royal Court for 2026–27 held its first meeting to plan the year ahead.
Members reviewed their duties as community representatives, along with upcoming events, appearances and service projects. Organizers said the year will focus on service, leadership and representing Roma beyond the crown.

⚖️ Un jurado del condado de Bexar dice que una muchacha de 15 años NO mató a su padrastro. Aun así, sigue detenida.

🔪 El jurado la declaró no culpable de as*****to el viernes, después de como tres horas de deliberar. Tenía solo 14 años cuando la policía dijo que apuñaló a su padrastro, Ray Hardy Jr., de 53 años, durante un pleito adentro de una casa en el lado este de San Antonio, en diciembre de 2024. Él murió por esas heridas.

🧑‍⚖️ Su caso se había movido a la corte de adultos, algo que la ley de Texas permite desde los 14 años en los cargos más serios. El Juez Juvenil William "Cruz" Shaw dijo que una vez que eso pasa, "es 100 por ciento de adultos." Ella se enfrentaba a cadena perpetua si la hallaban culpable. El jurado dijo que no.

⚖️ A Bexar County jury just said a 15 year old girl did NOT kill her stepfather. She is still locked up.

🔪 Jurors cleared the teen of murder on Friday after about three hours of deliberating. She was only 14 when police said she stabbed her stepfather, Ray Hardy Jr., 53, during a fight inside a home on San Antonio's East Side back in December 2024. He died from his wounds.

🧑‍⚖️ Her case had been moved to adult court, something Texas law allows for the most serious charges starting at age 14. Juvenile Judge William "Cruz" Shaw said once that happens, "it's 100% adult." She faced up to life in prison if convicted. The jury said no.

🚓 But she never walked free. While she sat in custody waiting on her murder trial, she picked up a brand new charge, assault on a public servant. That case never left the juvenile system, and it is still open today.

🏛️ Her story shows how messy it gets when one child's case splits between two courts. The adult side, with adult stakes, is finished. The juvenile side is what is keeping her locked up right now.

🚨 Un video de celular y varios testigos ayudaron a la policía de San Antonio a acusar a un hombre de as*****to en una puñalada mortal en el West Side.

🔪 Bryan Allen Wilson, de 25 años, también conocido como "Chops," está acusado de as*****to. La policía dice que apuñaló a Cecilio Reyes Lucio, de 33 años, a quien le decían "Tips," poco después de la medianoche el 2 de septiembre cerca de las calles Richter y San Fernando. Lucio murió en un hospital.

📱 Un vecino grabó parte del ataque en video, según los registros de la corte. 🚨 A neighbor's cellphone video and several witnesses just helped San Antonio police charge a man with murder in a deadly West Side stabbing.

🔪 Bryan Allen Wilson, 25, also known as "Chops," is charged with murder. Police say he stabbed Cecilio Reyes Lucio, 33, known to friends as "Tips," just after midnight on September 2 near Richter Street and San Fernando Street. Lucio died at a hospital.

📱 A neighbor caught part of the attack on a cellphone video, court records state. It shows a shirtless man holding a knife and threatening to stab Lucio again, while Lucio, wearing a red shirt, appeared hurt. Witnesses say the stabbing followed a fight between the two men. Court records say Wilson told Lucio, "I stabbed you," then ran to a nearby home on Torreon Street.

🚔 SWAT surrounded that home that night after officers learned people connected to the stabbing were inside. Several people were held for questioning. Two turned out to be witnesses and were let go. Detectives kept digging and matched the man in the video to a page using the nickname "Chops."

⚖️ Bexar County booked Wilson into jail on September 11. Murder is a first degree felony that can mean 5 years to life in prison. His bond is set at $200,000. Court records also link him to a separate aggravated robbery case at the same Torreon Street home.

🚨 Un hombre de 70 años en San Antonio llamó él mismo a la policía. Luego dijo que le había disparado a una mujer adentro de su casa.

Ramón Vásquez Rodríguez llamó a la policía de San Antonio el sábado en la noche. Dijo que una mujer lo estaba "molestando." Cuando los oficiales llegaron a su casa en la calle Presa, en el lado sur, él estaba afuera de la casa cuando llegaron.

Les dijo de una vez que le había disparado a una mujer adentro de la casa.

😢 Los oficiales entraron y encontraron a Norma Linda Villarreal, de 62 años, con una herida de bala. Murió ahí mismo en el lugar. Los paramédicos no pudieron salvarla.

⚖️ Rodríguez fue arrestado en el momento y llevado a la cárcel del Condado de Bexar con un cargo de as*****to. Su fianza quedó en $250,000 dólares. La policía no ha dicho cómo se conocían los dos, ni qué causó el tiroteo. Esa parte todavía no está clara.

📍 Esta parte de la calle Presa ya ha visto violencia mortal antes, incluyendo otro tiroteo fatal cerca de ahí hace unos meses. San Antonio ha tenido menos muertes violentas cada uno de los últimos tres años, pero la policía dice que la mayoría todavía pasan entre personas que ya se conocían, no entre extraños.

El Condado de Bexar también tiene uno de los peores índices en Texas de violencia familiar. Es muy pronto para decir si este caso está ligado a eso.

🚨 A 70 year old San Antonio man called police on himself, then told them he shot a woman inside his own house.

Ramon Vasquez Rodriguez called San Antonio police Saturday night. He said a woman was "bothering him." When officers got to his home on Presa Street on the South Side, he was outside the house when they got there.

He told officers right away that he shot her inside the house.

😢 Officers went in and found 62 year old Norma Linda Villarreal with a gunshot wound. She died right there at the scene. Medics could not save her.

⚖️ Rodriguez was arrested on the spot and booked into the Bexar County jail on a murder charge. His bond is set at $250,000. Police have not said how the two knew each other, or what led up to the shooting. That part of the story is still not clear.

📍 This stretch of Presa Street has seen deadly violence before, including another shooting death nearby just months ago. San Antonio has had fewer killings each of the last three years, but police say most still happen between people who already know each other, not strangers.

Bexar County also has one of the worst rates in Texas for deaths tied to family violence. It is too soon to say if that is part of this case.
