ATTENTION ALL ANIMAL LOVERS AND SHELTER SUPPORTERS:
Enjoy a Family Movie Night THIS SATURDAY, July 27th, at Deacon Mills Park and Help Raise the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter Building Fund “Up”
The Green Lake Subway and the Green Lake Parks and Recreation Department are pleased to provide a family movie night in Deacon Mills Park on THIS SATURDAY, July 27 at dark. Although we are prohibited from advertising the name of the movie, which is sponsored by Alling Enterprises, perhaps you can conjure it “Up” by pondering these clues: An old man and a young scout take a balloon trip to a water falls in South America, and befriend a talking dog and a flightless bird trying to find her chicks. They have the adventure of a lifetime while the little boy earns his badge for helping the elderly.
In conjunction with the showing of this popular movie, the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter is selling sky lanterns for release preceding the movie. We’ll send the sky lanterns “Up” at 8:30 p.m., before the showing of the movie. For a minimum donation of $10, you will receive an environmentally friendly lantern to light and release in support of the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter’s Building Fund, and a gift certificate for one free single scoop ice cream cone from the Bayview Landing Ice Cream Parlor (to be redeemed on THIS SATURDAY, July 27th only).
Sign “Up” for a sky lantern by calling Janine at the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, (920) 294-3042 or Tonya at Alling Enterprises at (920) 748-6468. Lanterns will also be for sale at Bayview Landing Ice Cream Parlor during the afternoon hours of the Chalk Walk on Saturday, July 27.
