One of my favorite quotes

I solve problems all day but the only way I can do this is to zoom in on the truth of the problem.

All this abstract language is clear as mud.

We will discuss some real-world problems in our FREE Lunch and Learn at the Comanche Chamber of Commerce on October 13.

Right now I am wrestling with one problem. My client, a plumber keeps having clients miss appointments.

We chatted about what he is doing to remind them of their scheduled appointment. He used to have an office person call the night before but in an effort to cut costs eliminated that task. We found a software tool that can provide reminders, along with creating text-to-pay and an automated followup to get more reviews. I set up the software and the problem was easily solved.

Now, that is digital marketing!

Queen of the obvious here!

The most obvious and simple concepts are often the hardest to complete.

It is so easy to get absorbed in the intricate tasks of our professions that we forget (ignore or get distracted from) the essential tasks.

Essential tasks are not what you may expect.

Order fulfillment is not at the top of the list.

1. Set Goals
2. Marketing
3. Marketing
4. Prospecting
5. Nurturing Leads

There are a lot of different types of goals:
Inward: Make a million dollars in the next year.
Outward: Serve my community by helping 5 small businesses launch and stand on a solid foundation pro-bono this year.

The bottom line is setting goals gets us focused on what steps to take to move forward.

What are your 1 year, 3, year and 5 year goals?
What is your "why" for each?

Likes are nice but soooo 2010.
We like to get likes, it feeds our ego. AND likes means people are paying attention.
BUT likes don't always translate into sales.

Sales drive our ability to stay in business, fulfill our passion and help people.
We will talk about ROI.
Return on investment.
and other stuff. BUT we only know if our marketing efforts are well spent if we know our ROI!

It's true folks. I have seen in over and over in more than 2 decades running businesses and helping others grow their businesses.
It's surprising how fast the shrink can happen when you let off the gas.
