Every once in a while, a customer comes in with a story that stops us in our tracks.

A dad who wanted to get his daughter an award for finishing chemo. A little league team that had the worst season record in the league but showed up to every single game. A company that wanted to surprise an employee who had quietly kept the whole operation running for 20 years without ever once asking for recognition.

We made every single one of those. And honestly, those are the orders we think about the most.

Here's something we think about a lot: most awards end up in one of two places.

On a shelf where someone looks at them every single day. Or in a box in the garage that nobody opens anymore.

Doesn't have to be fancy. Could've been a third-grade spelling bee ribbon. Could've been a "World's Okayest Employee" gag gift that somehow meant more than the real award that year.
