A lot of what we do happens quietly.

Planning events.
Answering messages.
Connecting veterans to resources.
Listening when someone needs to talk.

All of our Board Members are not only properly vetted but have personally invested their own time, money, and resources to build this Foundation for the sole benefit of warrior brotherhood.

We cannot do it alone.

✨ Friends & Family – We Need Your Help! ✨

As many of you know, I’ve been working with the Marine Corps/Navy Veterans of 3D Combat Engineer Battalion (3D CEB) to plan their next Reunion in 2026. This unit is deeply personal for us 3D CEB was Chris’ last Battalion before transitioning out of the Marine Corps. He served as a Platoon Sgt., leading several Marines who truly became family to us.

For me, this is also where my event planning journey began. While volunteering with 3D CEB, I helped organize formal events, gathered a group to make the beds of Marines returning from deployment, and even created individual welcome-home signs for their barracks rooms (I’m no artist, but they appreciated the effort!). Over the past 15 years, our 3D CEB Family has celebrated triumphs, endured heartbreaking tragedies, and stayed connected through it all.

💙 Why this Reunion Matters:
This isn’t just a get-together...it’s a chance to honor the legacy of those we’ve lost, support those still carrying the silent wounds of war, and bring families into the fold. Spouses, children, and loved ones are such a huge part of healing, which is why they’re included this time. But including families makes us ineligible for certain foundation support, so we are raising the funds ourselves.

Meals & Tables: Spaces where veterans and families can connect.

Breakout Sessions: Grief support, family-centered activities, and legacy workshops.

When I dialed up every pore and contour, I was channeling my admiration for his journey through time. Each accentuated line became a testament to resilience, each pronounced shadow an ode to the strength woven into his years. This was less a literal portrait and more a moment of emotion rendered visible and a visual embrace of masculinity in its most honest form.

Feeling & Intention

• I wanted viewers to sense the weight of stories carried in his salt-and-pepper beard.
• By amplifying texture, I celebrated the beauty found in every wrinkle and well-earned fold of skin.
• The rugged aesthetic mirrors how I see him: grounded, steadfast, and rich with life’s experiences.

Art Versus Documentary

Art transforms reality through the lens of feeling. In exaggerating his features, I wasn’t aiming for a clinical likeness but for an emotional truth. This image is a vision come to life and my personal translation of how masculinity and age intertwine, not a factual record.
