Most business owners don’t realize how outdated their website has gotten until they actually look at it again.

It happens slowly, a few changes here, a few things added there, and before you know it, it’s not really representing your business anymore.

That’s why I put together a Spring Website Refresh, just to clean things up and get everything back on track.
Take a look here: https://bit.ly/4sW51Lu

Available to current clients through May 31.

A quick website refresh can go a long way!
A lot can change in a few months… but your website doesn’t always keep up.

April is a good time to do a quick refresh:
• Update photos and content
• Clean up outdated info
• Check your messaging
• Make sure everything is easy to navigate

It doesn’t have to be a full redesign. Sometimes a few small updates make a big difference in how your brand comes across online.
If your site hasn’t been touched in a while, this is your sign.

✨ New Website Launch

I recently finished the new website for Slade Pest Solutions, a local DFW pest control company.

This project was a first for me. I always said I wouldn’t work with WordPress… but never say never. The specific edits and customization they wanted weren’t possible on some other platforms, so I pushed myself and Stephen was willing to join me for the ride.

The goal was a site that’s easy to navigate, clearly lays out the pests they handle, and includes pest info pages to help homeowners identify what they’re seeing around the house.

If you’re local to DFW and need pest control, Slade Pest Solutions will take care of you!

Phew… the holiday hangover is a real thing. December always feels like a blur of to do lists, family time, and saying “I’ll get to that after the holidays” 😅

I’m a little late to the game this year and behind on posting. Clearly not taking my own advice about scheduling content, but life happens. I’m not perfect, and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned.

Last year taught me so much. I worked with a mix of clients from logo design and website design to both product based and service based businesses. Every project brought something new to learn, and I’m truly thankful for each and every person who trusted me with their business.

I also pushed myself outside my comfort zone and learned an entirely new platform last year. It was exciting and frustrating at times, with a lot of trial and error along the way, but completely worth it. I’m heading into this year with new skills under my belt and a lot more confidence.

As I wrap up a few current projects, I’ll be opening up some availability. Right now, I have 2 spots available for website design. If you’re thinking about a new site or a refresh, you can reach out here or send me a message through my website at: https://cristinacfox.com

Here’s to grace, growth, and lots of coffee because I genuinely can’t function without it ☕

October has been a productive month!
Two website designs are going live this next week, with another one in the works, it’s been a busy season (in the best way).

I also realized I haven’t shared that I’m now a proud member of the Regional Business Alliances (RBA) here in Roanoke, TX!

Every Thursday morning, I meet with other local business owners at Roanoke City Hall. It’s such a great group, we share ideas, learn from guest speakers, and connect with other small business owners who are passionate about growing together.

If you’re a local business owner looking to expand your network and get involved in the community, I’d love to see you there!

That tiny phrase, “near me”, is what helps your next client find you.

Every time someone searches for a service nearby, Google decides which businesses to show first.

When your site and Google Business Profile mention your city and service area, you’re telling Google exactly where you are, and who you help.

Take a few minutes today to update your website and Google Business Profile with your location, those small edits help your next client find you faster.

Your Google Business Profile is more than a box on the side of a Google search, it’s your digital storefront.

If you haven’t looked at it lately, it might be time for a quick refresh. Your profile is often the first impression someone gets of your business, so it should feel up to date and inviting.

Here’s how to keep it working for you:
• Claim it — Verify your listing so people can actually find you.
• Complete it — Add hours, services, photos, and contact info.
• Keep it active — Post updates or new photos once a week to show you’re open and engaged.

Think of it like flipping the sign to “Open.” When your profile looks fresh and active, Google, and your next client—will know you’re ready for business.

Take five minutes today to check your profile. Update your info, add a new photo, or share a short post. Every little bit helps you show up where people are searching.

Ever hear the word “SEO” and immediately tune out? It sounds like something only big companies have entire departments for. But if you run a local service business, a cleaning company, insurance agency, home repair, salon, you name it, local SEO is one of the easiest, most affordable ways to get found online.

I’ve seen so many small business owners pour time into social media, yet their Google Business Profile hasn’t been touched in months. That’s like having a store with the lights off, people can’t find you if you’re not showing up where they’re searching.

This month, I’m breaking down what actually works for Local SEO, no jargon, no overwhelm. Just five simple steps you can start right away to help your business pop up when someone nearby searches for what you do.

Quick question: does your website have all the right legal pages?
If not (or if you’re not sure), you’re not alone. A lot of business owners skip them, but they’re key to protecting your business and building trust.

I just put together a simple guide with the 4 pages you actually need and some best practices for setting them up.

When you’re building a website, it’s easy to focus on the fun parts: design, colors, fonts, and content. But there’s another side that often gets overlooked, the legal side. Legal pages may not be glamorous, but they’re ...

Last week I finished a rebrand for Ideal Health Advisors and couldn’t wait to share!

We updated the colors to make the look more vibrant and polished, while keeping the same trusted feel. Kim also wanted a stethoscope worked in, and now it finally has its place in the design.

Since Ideal Health Advisors guides people through health insurance choices, the stethoscope was a natural fit to represent care and trust in their work.

Along with the new logo, I updated her business cards to keep the brand cohesive. Check out the new branding in action on her cards!

Quick Tip: If your website has a contact form, newsletter sign-up, or checkout page, you’re collecting personal information.

And here’s the part many small business owners don’t realize, once you collect that data, privacy laws kick in. A Privacy Policy isn’t just nice to have, it’s legally required in many cases.

The good news? It doesn’t have to be pages of legal jargon. A clear Privacy Policy simply explains:

• What you collect
• How you use it
• How you keep it safe

For your clients, it builds trust.
For your business, it keeps you protected.
