Catherine Fox, Senior Tourism Advisor with Eddy Alexander, moderated a panel on Destination Development initiatives for the "Future of Hospitality and Tourism Workforce Summit" presented by Averett University and Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business last week.

Following up on the progress from last year's inaugural summit, presenters including Corrie Bobe, Danville VA Office of Economic Development & Tourism Director, Lisa Meriwether, Visit SoSi Tourism Manager, Danielle Fitz-Hugh, Richmond Region Tourism Vice President of Community Relations and Simon Jones, Founder of NatureScapes and member of Uplift NC shared new initiatives to build on Southern Virginia's momentum in hospitality workforce development.

🏁 The SRO Challenge at VIRginia International Raceway brought thousands of road racing fans and auto enthusiasts down to the track, but this year we brought the media with ABC 13 - WSET and Spectrum News 1 North Carolina. They interviewed drivers, spoke with SRO President S. Greg Gill and even got the chance to ride along in a racecar. All in a day's work! 🏎️​
