‼️FELONY ARREST‼️

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 19, 2026, Wadley Police officers responded to the 1000 block of Roberts Street in reference to a 911 call reporting domestic violence. As a result, Jeffery Jones Pickard was arrested for Domestic Violence by Strangulation. During the arrest, Pickard resisted. A taser was utilized by officers to subdue Pickard, who was then taken into custody. Pickard was also charged with Resisting Arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
Pickard is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

We are excited to announce Aaron Everett as the new Head Baseball Coach of the Woodland Bobcats.

Coach Everett brings a wealth of experience from both the high school and collegiate ranks, having served in coaching and leadership roles at Loudon HS (TN), Tennessee Wesleyan, Albany State, UAH, Auburn University, Jacksonville State, and Southern Union State Community College. His proven track record of player development, program building, and leadership will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes and baseball program.

We are thrilled to have Coach Everett leading Woodland Baseball and look forward to an exciting future under his direction.
