Hello June! With longer days and summer weather arriving, we may have different schedule changes in our business for… any number of reasons. From family obligations to seasonal business booms, to even taking a break for a day or 3. It’s important to keep your customers in the loop when you’re away from your work email, machine, or store.

How are you preparing the others (PTO)? Here is your June’s PTO tip: Utilize your email and Facebook Messenger autoresponder to share changes store hours, availability, and/or response time expectations. If you need a quick outbound communications plan or someone to set up the autoresponders, I can help with that. Send me a DM or visit drummergirlmarketing.com to schedule a time for us to chat.

Rochester's festival season kicks off in a couple of days, which also means event season for Drummergirl Marketing. Here are 3 quick tips for your event set-up:

1.) Have a Lead Generator. Make sure you have some type of lead generator to collect information for prospects. This can be a drawing, an email sign-up sheet, or consumer poll/survey on a relevant topic pertaining to your business.

2.) Have Info Takeaways and/or Scannable Signs. If people do not want to participate in your lead generator... Make sure you fliers, business cards, rack cards, etc. for people to take your information. A sign with a QR code linking to an info landing page, social media pages, or your About page can also work.

3.) BE YOU! Make sure your table/ tent/ booth/ whatever is a reflection of your brand. Whether it's their first, third, or tenth encounter with your business, you want to make sure it's positive & impressionable one.

I can't wait to see all of the small businesses with your set-ups this season! If you need any help with your booth you can always send me a DM.

Hello March! Yesterday was International Women's Day and I want to call out a few of the organizations that I am involved with that support women:

From support to professional development to reach, supporting women can have a lasting impact for generations to come. Small businesses need your support now more than ever.

As Mother Nature continues to show us who's boss, remember to support your local businesses! It's not luck keeping them around, it's support from consumers like YOU! A like, comment, and a share on a post from a small business can REALLY go a long way. Using Google Maps, even if you already know how to get to your destination, can help your favorite small business with their SEO. Consider buying gifts from local businesses (online or in-person).

Hello January! Did anyone else have a crazy start to 2026? 😵‍💫 It's difficult to sprint with a [metaphorical] sprained ankle. I started off the year SLOWING DOWN my pace, asking for help, and revising my timelines and priorities until I can start running again.

Happy to be limping [metaphorically] into a positive and fun environment today. I am at Business Shower Networking Expo, gearing up to get the networking+fun-ucation festivities. 🎉 I am excited to be a vendor at this year's event and the knowledge that is about to be shared.

I hope everyone has a great January and you can always send me a DM with questions or to connect. 💜
