Good afternoon GVRPS Membership & Friends!

The GVRPS Executive Board wants to take the opportunity to get some feedback from you. Our goal is to improve the operations and benefits of the society so members can feel their participation has value. Please take the time to complete the survey that is linked below. It's the intention of the society to canvass its members to see what we are doing well and maybe not so well.

We also want to see who is interested in sitting on a committee to help us pave a new path for the society.

Good afternoon GVRPS Membership and Friends! We hope you are enjoying the last "unofficial" Friday of the Summer. Two of our friends have some great opportunities coming up that we wanted to share with you!

First, Total Sports Experience has a job opportunity for a full-time Instructional Program Coordinator and Coach. More information can be found in the photo below.

Second, Parkitects has a great educational opportunity coming this coming Wednesday, September 9th. This educational session will include CEUs and will start at 3:00 at Charlie's Boat Yard in Buffalo, and then move to the Buffalo Harbor State Park. There will be a social hour following the visit to Buffalo Harbor State Park. More information can be found in the photo below as well.

Today, is the deadline to register for a great summer evening at the ballpark!

Join us on Thursday, August 27 for a fun evening at ESL Ballpark as the Rochester Red Wings take on the Buffalo Bisons! Bring your family and friends, but don't forget your furry friend! It's Bark in the Park night, so dogs are welcome to join in the fun.

Game Details:
• Gates Open: 5:30 PM
• First Pitch: 6:45 PM
• Cost: $15 per person

Favorite Hobby Outside of Work – Reading (especially snuggled up with her two labs, Hank and Dolly!)

One Fun Fact About Yourself –She was a collegiate softball player

To help ensure a seamless leadership transition with a vacant President spot, Kathleen will continue serving as President through October 2026 until President-Elect, Joe Kincaid assumes the role.

Good afternoon GVRPS Membership & Friends,

It's Time For Another Meet Your 2026-2027 GVRPS Executive Board!

We’re excited to introduce our newest Member-at-Large, Bridget Bartholomay!

Organization – Town of Henrietta Recreation
Current Position at Organization – Recreation Assistant
Years in Parks & Recreation – 11 years

Favorite Recreation Program/Event – My favorite recreation programs are the holiday special events, gymnastics programs and our Pokémon Party and Saturday Sports program where we can play different games with kids.

Favorite Hobby Outside of Work – I enjoy hiking, running, watching sports and spending time with my family and friends!

Favorite Food – Mexican food
Favorite Vacation Destination – Yellowstone National Park, or a trip to an Indiana Fever game.

One Fun Fact About Yourself – I've met several Olympians! I was at a book signing for Abby Wambach, met members of the 1980 USA hockey team at a baseball game and Miranda Melville is an Olympic race walker and an alumni from my school's cross country and track and field program.

Good afternoon GVRPS Membership and Friends!

SAVE THE DATE! It's time to welcome warmer weather and cap off the 2025-2026 GVRPS year!

We invite all members and friends to join us for a relaxing day at King's Bend Park- North Lodge in Pittsford for our Annual Meeting! We will review the 2025-2026 year, reveal the results of our 2026-2027 Executive Board Ballot, and share goals for the year to come. The event is FREE and will include a complimentary lunch and an after meeting social as a thank you to our members. The festivities will begin at noon!

Schedule of Day:
12:00PM- Lunch
1:00PM- Recreation Connection
1:30PM- Annual Meeting Starts
3:00PM- Social time!

Each attendee should fill out their own form.
