Children's book I wrote and illustrated for a project. A girl buys her first pet and chooses a lifetime pal, a tortoise. They stick together as they both go through the journey of life. The story is told from the pet's perspective.

My favorite childhood story, Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree". Had to choose a quote to use for a mini assignment. I'll probably do some more in the future. I wanted to emulate the style of the cover with this❤😊

We were tasked to create a poster for the RIT Performing Arts group spring performance that would take place on Zoom. The story was themed around Dungeons and Dragons, a tabletop RPG that has an extensive history and lore. The goal I wanted to achieve with the poster was to highlight on the DnD feature and show a connection to the performance being digital. Usually this would be a stage play, however, the writer adjusted it to accommodate for COVID. Things that had to be on the poster were RIT related branding, copyright information, and a QR code that the director had to link to the show.

This past weekend I got the opportunity to work with a great team for the community service event EUREKA! that the RIT CAD members host to help out different organizations. This year we partnered with Friends of Washington Grove.

Washington Grove is a lovely spot inside Rochester, NY where you can escape the city and embrace the outdoors without having to travel to the mountains. There are fun trails to explore and artistically decorated water tanks to see while there. Many of you may have been near the grove without realizing if you have been to the graffiti tanks. It is a neighbor to Cobbs Hill Park.

I was a part of the Networking & Outreach team. We developed a mockup for a new Instagram page that would use story highlights to allow quick access to important information. I designed the icons used for them. Additional features for the page was the use of a merchandise store to generate additional funding for the grove. We suggested collaborating with local artists to create unique T-shirt and stickers designs. I created our example sticker.

An improved IG page would allow for ease of finding a way to tag the location properly when people post images at the grove and see well curated content to browse to get a sense of Washington Grove. The merch would bring about interest through conversation and visuals. People will ask where you got your T-shirt/sticker if it looks nice and that can lead them to learning about the grove.

I am really glad I applied to join this event because I got to work on my first group project for designing something for a client. I learned a lot and met very dependable, insightful folk.

Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz

Needed to design image heavy and type heavy book covers. We were all assigned a novel from Oprah Winfrey's list and I was tasked with the tragic story of a girl who survived a drowning incident.

I wanted one cover to reflect the perspective of someone looking at the ice from above where the incident happened and the other to be the perspective of the victim below the ice.
