PSA to other freelancers and specifically designers: Don't👏 do👏 free👏work!
This company specifically wanted all potential contractors to re-design three graphics in a new style to give them ideas for an elevated brand. All before you are even considered for an initial consultation/interview.
The purpose of this is not to expose anyone but to educate professionals that this is not an acceptable practice. When you say no and explain why (kindly), you are taking a stance for fellow small business owners and freelancers. Even if it is a small act the power of saying no is very important.
Value yourself and the skillsets you have invested time and money into - you are worth much more!

A sneak peek of a beautiful packaging project that was recently completed for our client's 2021 winter collection.
I know it is spring but since it was snowy in Rochester the past few days, I figured it's not too far off 😋
This product line features 4 custom illustrated winter scenes from around the world to make up the collection. The final packaging includes a rich color scheme and beautiful gold foiling.
Here is one of the illustrated winter scenes inspired by French/European architecture. I love how this collection came out and I can not wait to showcase all of them!

What makes you happy? ☀️
Travel photography has always been my main source of inspiration - and of course, traveling in general! It is a hobby of mine that elicits so much joy and really gets me out of my own head.
I find that when you try to monetize all of your hobbies, interests, and skills it becomes more like work and less of something that just ... makes you happy. 💖
