There is nothing like the buzz and excitement of being in a room full of entrepreneurs.

Through Roseville Rising and GFN, I get to facilitate a cohort of 17 food founders who are just beginning their journey of building a business. I love feeding off their “new idea” energy and helping them find clarity when the process starts to feel overwhelming.

I’m also meeting some incredible established business owners along the way, and the sense of community and collaboration has been so encouraging.

It’s not lost on me how lucky I am to truly love my job.

Yes, I made this ridiculous graphic on purpose. (and by made, I mean prompted AI)

Because recently, AI-made marketing graphics started looking exactly the same — and your audience isn’t impressed, they’re overwhelmed.

AI can make a graphic.
It can’t make a judgment call.

Somewhere under 47 fonts, 12 icons, 3 gradients, random fireworks, and a suspicious amount of clip art… your actual message is hiding.

Can your audience find it before they keep scrolling?

Before you post the next graphic, ask:

“Does this actually look like us… or does it look like everyone else who just discovered the same prompt?”

And please, for the love of white space, stop making every flyer look like it was designed inside a carnival cannon.

I have the best job. Last week I got to spend time in Tahoe teaching a few workshops at the Amplify Good Conference for nonprofit leaders. I love that they poured into the nonprofits in this way and LOVED to see nonprofit leaders take the time to collaborate and learn. Everyone got to take a home a copy of Marketing Basics for Nonprofits and I committed to be an ongoing resource for them. We're better together!
