🔹Helping Rural Voices Be Heard in Sacramento🔹

Proud to support meaningful advocacy efforts that elevate the voices of California’s rural and mountain communities.

Last week, the Caporusso Communications team had the opportunity to help coordinate and support the Mountain Counties Water Resources Association's 2026 Legislative Advocacy Day in Sacramento, bringing together water leaders, elected officials and agency representatives from across the Sierra Nevada headwaters region.

Throughout the day, participants met with legislators and administration representatives to discuss critical issues impacting the communities responsible for protecting California’s water supply, including rural affordability, aging infrastructure, wildfire resilience and practical policies that recognize the realities facing mountain communities.

California depends on the Sierra headwaters for more than 60% of its developed water supply, and ensuring those communities have a strong voice in policy discussions is more important than ever.

Grateful to work alongside MCWRA members and leadership in helping tell these stories, strengthen relationships and advance conversations that matter.

At Caporusso Communications, we believe the strongest projects are built through collaboration, listening, and a willingness to evolve.

We’re proud to have supported the public affairs efforts surrounding the Phillip Road project in Roseville and to have been part of helping navigate complex conversations and community feedback throughout the process.

Special recognition goes to Abbie Wertheim and the Panattoni team for their leadership and commitment to the process. Their willingness to engage, listen, and make meaningful adjustments helped create a stronger path forward and demonstrates the value of thoughtful community engagement.

Projects do not become successful by avoiding difficult conversations. Success comes from bringing people together, working through challenges, and finding solutions that better serve communities.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner on important projects that help shape the future of our communities.
