Congrats to this year’s first Saturday’s shoot out winner Devin Barroero! The next pattern is Taj Mahal, signs up start at 4:30pm practice starts at 5:30pm. $40 for entry and we have brackets, a strike lotto(that no one won last week) and a mystery score pot if anyone would like to try and win some extra money. Reminder to everyone that the Precision Shootout starts this Saturday the 29th. We will be adding a strike pot and mystery score along with our normal brackets and side pots to increase the winning potential even more! Format is the same handicap of 80% of 210 with handicap capped at 50. This year we are putting out the patterns in a good mix to make for even more accurate averages. All bowlers who have a shootout average from last year will use that average. Everyone else will use their current winter/summer composite USBC average of 21 games or more. Averages will adjust weekly after 9 games total have been bowled. This tournament is UNSANCTIONED however we will follow all USBC equipment rules and specifications. Junior bowlers are welcome however any winnings will be deposited into that bowlers SMART account. Bowling signups will again start at 430 with bowling beginning at 530. Cost is $40 per week. This includes lineage. Although we track points all year to qualify for the end of year roll off, you are not required to attend every week. This is a weekly tournament. This year we will preannounce patterns in 10 game blocks. I have the first 10 listed below. We will be bowling on the 2026 August military championships first. Good luck to everyone this year. I hope to make this the biggest year yet. Last year we paid out weekly prizes as well as $7000 for the top 10 match play qualifiers. I’m sure I missed something but we can cover any questions as they come up. Hope to see you all there Saturday!

Sorry I’m late on this post. I got busy this week finishing up some stuff and forgot. I will be out of the shop until the 25th as I will be bowling in the mixed military tournament in Vegas next week. Maybe bowling is a stretch. Lol. I will def be rolling a round object trying to hit pins. The shop will be manned for sells and everyday services like surfacing, grip changes and such on most days but drilling will not be available until I return.

Ok bowlers!! Is almost time for the Precision Shoot Out to start again. We will begin on Saturday, August the 29th. Sign ups will again start at 430 with bowling beginning at 530. Cost will once again be $40 to bowl. New this year we will plan out patterns in 10 week blocks. This will allow us to keep more accurate averages and spread the mix of difficulty out. This will also allow everyone to plan out their arsenal better. New this year we will be running a Strike Lotto. It will be $5 to enter and 100% of that money will go to whoever wins. It will roll over until won then start again. Also we will be doing a mystery score each week for game 2. Cost will be $1 for that and again will rollover until won. We will be running brackets and side pots again this year. If you have ANY handicap and are not getting in these additional entries, you are leaving money on the table. There is quite a bit of money to be made in each of these events. Again half the prize money goes into a pot for the top 10 in points match at the end of the year. If we can up participation I may expand that to TOP 12 or more. I just don’t want to water down the prize fund. As most of you know we pay out quite a bit of money each year. If you have any questions or comments please let me know. I’m always willing to discuss new ideas. This is for YOU the bowlers. Again we will cap HANDICAP at 50 this year. We will be using 80% of 210. Looking forward to our 5th year!!

I will make sure this gets on the center page as well. But today while working on lane 4 underneath the pit board I recovered what looks to be man’s wedding ring. I would very much like to reunite it with its owner. If you or anyone you know has mentioned losing one at Sparetime come to the proshop. If you can describe it to me I will return it to you. Please pass on to anyone you think might be able to get the word out.

This is the current points standings going into this week for the scratch doubles. We will be having the roll offs directly after the last night of league in two weeks (30 July). It will only be 3 games so will not take long. We will bowl on a fresh pair with the current pattern.
