This month marks 10 YEARS since the successful launch of Shamayim MamaShu Harris's The Avalon Village in Highland Park (Detroit), MI. I'm incredibly proud of the work we achieved together across those years, on top of a foundation built by "Mama Shu" and her tireless community activism for years before that!
✔️ Millions of dollars raised.
✔️ Homes renovated.
✔️ Parks built.
✔️ Lives touched.
This remarkable community collaboration brought together hundreds of people under Mama Shu and her leadership – too many people to mention individually. On the marketing side, the collaboration between JustinWedes (then The Liberati Group) and Robin Schwartz PR was a powerhouse operation that took Mama Shu across the country and even onto The Ellen DeGeneres Show!
Sometimes the best PR is just real, human storytelling. No lights, no makeup. Just a life lived in full without holding back – that is Mama Shu.
