I'm back in the US of A. My luck hasn't really changed in the past year. I was hoping it would, but sadly no. I get home and replace two dead truck batteries. The next day, BOTH of them are dead. The Veloster is potentially severely damaged. The 98 Ford with 360,000 miles doesn't have a heater right now. The Navigator doesn't have a dash display. The bagged truck probably needs a transmission. The dishwasher quit working. The washing machine needs a PCB, as the one in it decided toilet the magic smoke out today. The living room fan light switch pull doesn't work right now..... It's just one thing after another. I'm still smiling. Laura did GREAT for our little family while I was gone. Campbell is still a straight A student, although she waits until the last minute to get the grades up. The house and garages are still standing. Everything will get better!!! Now, for the start of the updates.

The Veloster is fixed. Two bad coils made it run real badly. Got them replaced under warranty, so it's back up to s***f. Have an oil change to do still, but it's not TERRIBLE yet.

Brought the 13 Ford into the garage tonight a little earlier than I planned, but getting things under way. First thing I did was replace the wiper blades, they didn't work well at all! I am now repairing the sunroof track, replacing some front end parts replacing the rear shocks and getting an alignment. There are a few other things in want to get done, but making it safe and comfortable to drive are the number 1 priorities.

I want to give a HUGE shout out of thanks to for coming out to the garage and helping me disassemble the sunroof!!! I am so excited to finally own this truck. I've been oogling it for at least 8 years. The pic in the comments is from the dealership lot when it first came to the Russellville area for sale at Whitson Morgan.

Well, we did a thing. I'm in the process of buying back. Big thank you to Dalt Mautofied Jenkins for giving me a chance to get it back. A huge thank you to Laura Leak for assisting me in getting it loaded today. When I get back to it, that L98/700R4 will be refreshed and dropped in. I'm super excited!!!!

Laura Leak and I finally got this thing picked up. I guess I need to get the right attire to have this job the trailer. Although I'm probably NOT going to invest any money in making it a road car ever again. I know it's possibly donating the drivetrain to ol . I cannot wait to get everything together and get another ride ready for the road again. One more retrieval and I'll be ready for my "vacation" to be over. This was the second to last recovery before then.

The work bed is on. Still have the lights to sort out, an amber and white emergency light on top and maybe some tint. Has a nice little radio upgrade, nothing crazy. I am for sure going to miss this one, that little Gen 1 turbo sounds soooo good.

Post number 2, since post 1 is being weird.

The wheels are on and the rear is lowered 2 inches. There are no pictures of it lowered in the rear. I won't know how much it settles until I get the work bed on. If it needs the front brought down a little, I will make that happen. But I think it will sit pretty level with the bed on.

98 Ford F150 5.4 with 354k.....stock ol papaw truck to a slightly customized daily. Exhaust is on, it's 2 inches lower, LED tails, system, custom Dodge Demon wheels and tint some incoming....Not bad considering I have maybe $300 (wheels-traded, lug adapters, drop shackles, junkyard LED tail lights and camber bolts) in custom stuff......and $50 in tint. I need to down on tire size, but I had these at the house already.

Finally got most of the things done on the ol Explorer Sport. As solidly built as they come. I cannot believe how stock it looks on the inside. Whoever built this .... Good dang job. The proud owner will be getting it back tomorrow afternoon, once I get it washed and looking the part. It got a good check over, hemmed up a few minor annoyances and did a little polishing. As always, I can't wait to do some more work on this!!!

Don't look too close at the dirty truck and patched subs.... But the box .... The box is on point. Custom Audio by JD has amazing ability and build quality. Just need to upgrade the amp and put a protector over the subs.
