This trip wasn’t approved.
It was decided.

For most of my life, travel meant asking permission, checking policies, and fitting life into someone else’s schedule.

Now, when I want to go somewhere, I look at my time, my finances, and my priorities and I decide.

I can still work.
I can still earn.
And I get to spend time with people who are building something aligned with how they want to live.

Not long ago, I was doing what a lot of people do in midlife.
Working hard, doing what I was supposed to do, and still wondering if there was a better way to create a little more breathing room.

Women over 50 do not slow down. We get stronger.

This weekend reminded me of that in all the best ways.

It was not fancy or planned out. It was just real life.
The kind of life I used to wish I had the time for.

A morning at Apple Hill.
Fresh air.
Quiet roads.
That old truck that always makes me stop for a photo.

Catching up with Cortney and wandering through the craft fair at the firehouse.
Taking a new walking route to Finnon Lake.
Eleven thousand steps before two in the afternoon because I finally have the freedom to move my body when I want to.

Drinking my hydrogen water.
Feeling clear and energized.
