Black residents make up a meaningful part of Sacramento County’s population — and Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, creators, and professionals help shape Sacramento every day through food, retail, services, culture, innovation, and leadership.

But nationally, while Black Americans make up about 14% of the U.S. population, Black-owned employer firms account for only about 3%.

That gap matters.

In a surprising twist, the couple's comic and romantic adventure takes on absurd dimensions, and their relationship is tested by the volatile politics of Africa, learning what the hungry human spirit will do for food and a warm blanket.

With these changes, our bodies call for intentional movement and support.
