Un/common Agency We are an advertising agency that gives brands a voice in this noisy world. We work hard. We don't hire as****es. And we love to inspire people. We took risks.

After 25 years Glass Agency changed its name to un/common. The truth is, we’ve always been unorthodox. From the moment Greg Glass opened up this shop in 1991, we have pushed the limits on creativity, uniqueness, method and order. In 2010, when Greg passed away at an early age, the three of us, Amber Williams, Siobhann Mansour and Brantley Payne, forged a very unlikely partnership. After all, we di

dn’t choose each other, Greg did. But we refused to let this agency fail without him. Over lunch one afternoon in January 2010, operating on gut instinct we chose Amber Williams as our president but also decided to always act as equal partners. The loss of a leader in this way created a nearly impossible hill to climb, but we were determined. And it needed to be worth it. So we vowed to only create work that excited us. Inspiration was our fuel. For our clients, the excitement we created around inventive ideas was infectious. Our willingness to put emotion and instinct before dollars and cents showed. Invested in ideas. Trusted our gut. And didn’t waiver. What started as a very uncommon partnership began to reap some pretty unexpected results. Business stabilized and our relationships with clients, built on trust and instinct, became more solid than they had ever been. In March 2016, we purchased the company we had been running for six years. The thought of changing the name isn’t easy for any of us. But starting fresh with a name that encapsulates the journey that created this partnership and the work that got us here just feels right. Who would have thought that three unexpected leaders, unified around a table six years ago, could build an agency by refusing to give up, listening to our gut and believing in the power of uncommon ideas? This week we launched a Distracted Driving campaign for California Office of Traffic Safety/Go Safely CA. While on-site production has been limited, we’ve been flexing our ability to focus on the message and explore new mediums. So grateful to remind fellow Californians to , stay true our roots, and save lives while we're at it.
