Last week, we wrapped up our final California Pears shoot of the season with the Elliot family of David J. Elliot & Son. 🍐

The content we captured will be turned into a library of assets over the winter, ready to go ahead of next season and used primarily for social media collaborations with retail partners.

We’re grateful for another season of getting to work alongside California pear growers and capturing the people behind the fruit.

And while pear season is winding down, there’s still time to enjoy a juicy, ripe California pear. Be sure to grab one over the next couple of weeks! 🍐

There’s nothing greater than getting to share your food, farming, and family stories. 🤍

Highlighting agriculture is not something we take lightly. These are the families growing the food that feeds our nation, and we believe people need to understand what it takes to farm, why farmers do what they do, and the families behind the food on our tables.

Every farm has a story. Every family has a reason for doing what they do. And those stories are worth knowing, sharing, and standing behind.

Getting to work with California pear growers year after year is a privilege, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to capture the people and stories behind California pears.

How do you get a younger generation excited about cantaloupe? 🍈

From securing Specialty Crop Block Grant funding to developing the campaign strategy, coordinating creative partners, and managing digital and social efforts, our team has been proud to help California Cantaloupes rethink how an agricultural commodity can connect with today’s consumers.

Recently, Farmers Communication Exchange President Marilyn Freeman joined Nick Papagni on the AgNet West podcast to talk about how California Cantaloupes is taking a fresh approach to reaching Gen Z and younger consumers.

Although it isn’t harvest season, the work never stops.📢 🧑‍🌾

This winter we’ve been busy developing a campaign for our client, the California Pear Advisory Board (CPAB), highlighting the challenges local growers face due to the surge of Argentine pear imports.

Through CPAB’s social media channels, along with outreach to local and trade media, we were able to amplify this message while the board works with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to help protect California farmers.

The response to the campaign has been outstanding. Not only has it generated media coverage, but it has also opened conversations with Argentine importers who are willing to work collaboratively toward a solution so both industries can sell pears in harmony.

This campaign is a powerful reminder that social media gives organizations the ability to tell their own story and spark meaningful conversations that can lead to real change.

✨Join us in welcoming Christina Nguyen to her full-time role as Communications Coordinator!

A graduate of Sacramento State with both an AA and BA in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.
