The night before...
On this day, 25-years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am September 11, 2001.
In one single moment, life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today, and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

Donny, it has been 1 year today since you left us....we are praying for the family and friends you left behind....we will NEVER forget you...that is something you worried about in your last days ....I vowed to you I would NEVER let that happen!😢❤

My post from one year ago.....

Myself personally, and my company will honor him everyday. I made a promise to him I would do that. He smiled and in his humble self he said, "Linda, you don't need to do that" I told him I made a promise to him and that I do not break my promises and he gave me a hug. The last hug he was able to give me.

When I saw him a day before he died, he wasn't able to return the hugs I gave him, but I understood. He was seeing those who have gone before him and chatting with God letting him know it wouldn't be long before he would be in his loving arms.

I have made some pretty substantial decisions about my life since Donny left this earth. I have learned lessons I couldn't have learned without him. I watched Donny die with nothing besides his beautiful heart and soul, that he gave to so many here on earth and will give to so many in heaven. Our material things have no meaning in the end. It is how you love and treat people in your life that really matters. Be kind and respectful. Think about what legacy you are going to leave....

One part of Donny's legacy is "IT DOESN'T COST ANYTHING TO BE NICE TO SOMEONE".

We will miss you Donny, life will never be the same without you here on earth. But faith tells us you are with God in heaven and all those wonderful folks who have gone before you! I know you are all living it up in heaven.
