Raise your hand if you have a YouTube channel for your small business? No judgement if you don’t, but hear me out.

Today I got on YouTube and I had 500 new follower overnight. It was a nice surprise because we make our videos for Instagram but go ahead and put them everywhere. The video we posted late last week went viral on YouTube and really didn’t do anything special anywhere else.

It takes an extra 5 minutes to also put our videos on TikTok, YouTube (shorts), LinkedIn and Google Business Profile.

But why would we skip it? When you know that 1 piece of content could go viral on another platform and all it takes is a few clicks to copy it over? No brainer.

If you don’t have a YouTube channel, it’s not too late. Get yourself seen by a whole new audience and play nice with the Google machine!

If you own a small business and you aren’t networking, you need to make it a priority. Every quarter I have been in business, referrals I got through networking relationships brought in more business than all other marketing strategies combined.

If you aren’t getting huge results from networking, please ask yourself these 2 questions:
- Are you showing up on a regular basis to events?
- Are you putting in the work to get to know people by sitting down with them 1 on 1.

It takes some time and effort but if you put in the work on these relationships, you could have a network of people out promoting your business for you for free! (And you for them)

Podcasting can be a great funnel for your business and/or a great outlet for you to share a passion with the world, but if you don’t do the work leading up to starting your podcast, you may be part of the 92% that don’t get past 10 episodes.

It went so fast and I’m so sad that today is the last day with Natalie and Nadiyah. I can’t say enough amazing things about these interns. What an incredible experience to work with them all semester. They were literally the best interns I could have hoped for.

You two have incredible futures ahead of you. I can’t wait to see what you can do!

Blurring an image background can be a cool design touch. It can also hide things in the background of your pictures that you don’t want seen like a messy house, extra people in the background, etc.

There are probably lots of ways to accomplish this but this has been the easiest way for me. Hope it helps!!

Is your industry a target for ADA lawsuits?

Lately, we’ve seen a massive spike in “digital accessibility” lawsuits. While any website can be targeted, certain types of businesses are seeing much higher volumes of legal demand letters.

If you fall into these categories, your website needs to be a priority:
🛒 E-commerce & Retail: From boutique shops to big brands, if you sell products online, you’re the #1 target.
🍴 Restaurants: Online menus and reservation systems are frequent flashpoints.
🏨 Travel & Hospitality: Hotels and booking sites are heavily scrutinized for accessibility.
💰 Finance & Real Estate: Banks, credit unions, and property listings are under a legal magnifying glass.

The Reality: Serial plaintiffs often use bots to scan sites for “low-hanging fruit” like missing alt-text or non-navigable menus. If your site isn’t WCAG 2.1 compliant, you’re essentially leaving your front door unlocked.
