It’s an understatement to say the last year has been extremely difficult on us all. Uncertainty, fear, and an overall feeling of darkness left a lot of us feeling scattered, spread thin, and scrambling to pick up the pieces. At Good Notion we experienced much of the same. We’ve always existed to help local businesses and non-profits thrive, and seeing so many of you struggling to keep your doors open left us feeling rather defeated. Like many of you, our business, our team, and our overall mission took a big hit. We consider ourselves among the fortunate ones that we are still here. We do not take it for granted, and we are taking what we learned, what we lost, and what we gained in 2020 and are applying it to a new vision and version of Good Notion in 2021. We will learn from the past year and use these moments as opportunities for growth.

Our commitment to this community and the beautiful stories being told throughout it has never been stronger, and we look forward to continuing our mission: helping turn good notions into great brands.

Well known for , Mikki Trowbridge has been a wonderful client to work with. She never fails to dream up a variety of creative ideas that we are excited to help bring to life.
Through her brand and work as a yoga instructor, Mikki embraces a sense of leadership within the Salem community and beyond. We are honored to be an ongoing partner to her.
Have you been dreaming up something that you’d love to see come to fruition? We’re up for the task.
Cheers and namaste.

Hearing the news this week that Jessica Ritter had passed away hit hard for the Good Notion team. Not only are Wild Pear and Ritter’s our next door neighbors, but we consider Jessica, Mike, and Cecilia our friends. We have had the privilege of working with them, and the honor of learning from them. For years we have been inspired by their entrepreneurial spirit, and their leadership within the Salem community. Jessica’s kindness was unmatched. She would always greet you with the warmest smile, and a willingness to do whatever it took to let you know you were cared for. She was a shining example of hospitality. Some of my favorite memories are the times I would meet with both Jessica and Cecilia. Watching their endless devotion to one another, their deep sisterly love, and that unmistakable zest for life that truly made them a wild pair. You will be deeply missed. -Logan Martin & The Good Notion Team

It has officially been 1 year since Good Notion was announced. And it’s been a wild year to say the least. We would have never expected to find ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic but here we are. Now more than ever we are proud to be supporting local businesses in getting their message out during a time where having a strong digital presence is absolutely vital. Cheers to the future and thanks for following along with us on this adventure.

Our logo redesign for the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce started with a simplified compass concept. Its intentional ambiguity opened the door for it to embody so much more: a torch leading the way, the ascension up a mountain, an iceberg metaphor.
“The challenge is about taking things that are infinitely complex and making them simpler and more understandable.” - Robert Greenberg
When designing logos, our goal is not to show off any fancy design skills. It’s to create something memorable, flexible, and timeless. The Chamber provides endless resources for local businesses. As the economy changes, those resources or approaches may need to change as well, but the mission of the Chamber will remain the same. @ Salem Area Chamber of Commerce

From our director of photography on her recent project with : I have had the joy of working with and his team many times while traveling to capture his live events. Recently, what we have been able to create together in the midst of a time that ignites our deepest anxieties, makes me immensely grateful. I am grateful to know such extraordinary science communicators and to collaborate with them during a moment of humanity that may prosper in using the tools of mindfulness.

The world has changed swiftly. Each day brings new unknowns.

We see you suddenly needing to adapt to a world that has gone digital even faster than any of us could have foreseen, and we want to be a resource in that transition.

In light of the challenges we know most small businesses are now facing (we’re right there with you), we’d like to offer our web development, social media management, marketing & brand strategy, content creation and copywriting services with even more flexible payment options. We’re here to help.

Our work has always been to create rungs on the ladder of your business’ success—that role is no different in this time of uncertainty, and we look forward to continuing to lift up the hard-working entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders, innovators and small-business owners who make up this community. We’re just a Zoom call away. @ Good Notion
