Did you know there is a psychology to color? Yesterday I was totally absorbing the relaxation from a sage green.

Let's look at some positive vibes that colors can emote:

Black: Modern, Authority, Power
Red: Attention-grabbing, Energy, Excitement
Green: Calm, Luck, Generosity
Blue: Good, Calm
Yellow: Cheery, Brain-stimulating, New Ideas
Purple: Balance, Mindfulness, Royalty

Obviously you can pick around these vibes, look away from the negative connotations, and just slap whatever wherever. Hiring a professional designer is an awesome choice because we know not only what looks great - but also how to find what your clients/customers would resonate most with.

We need to treat ourselves like we treat our friends, coworkers, loved ones... find a GOOD medium. But we also need to learn that it's okay to expect others to hold their own and own up to their accountability.

I'm preparing for *hopefully* the biggest surgery of my life and truth be told? I'm not scared. Brain surgery - Pfft... I totally got this.

BUT the anxiety of the after - that I'm scared of. I know I have an amazing support system but I'm an admitted control freak and knowing I won't have control is the scariest bit.

Being vulnerable is something I model to my partner, my daughter, my students, my friends. I'm happy to be open and share my experience.

I know I've got some fellxw control freaks in my follower list. What do you do to cope with losing control?

I may be "old" at the ripe age of 28, and I may not be "hip" to the trends of today... but by golly am I glad I don't have to straighten my hair or do a center part very often haha. It's been almost 2 years since I last did! Preparing for them to shave about 4 inches tall up the nape of my neck tomorrow! Wish me luck.

Saying it again for those in the back: Failed resolutions 👏 are 👏 opportunities!

I've never been one to make resolutions for the beginning of the new year but I do have goals in my business. When I can't quite keep up with a goal or metric, it's easy to fall into the "I failed, why keep trying" mindset.

I'm here to tell you that's not going to get you anywhere. Five minutes of walking isn't as much exercise as people who are personal trainers are getting a day - but it's still 5 minutes more than people who are sitting on the couch.

The same applies to your business and your personal goals. CHANGE THE METRIC - change the fail threshold - erase it. Whatever you need to do to get that mindset moving forward and seeing the amazing things - even small things - you ARE doing every day.
