Meet Ms. Bubble Gum πŸ’—

This is the pink Ford Expedition I drove from 2010 to 2012 β€” back when I was raising 5 boys and living out the brand identity that would eventually become Market Me Pink.

15 years later? Still showing up in pink. Still recognizable. Still mine.
That's what brand consistency looks like in real life β€” and the same principle applies to your brand voice, your visuals, and everything else your business puts out.

This week's blog breaks down how to find and use your own brand voice πŸ‘‡

Your brand has a voice β€” even if you've been hiding it. πŸ’—

Most small business owners try so hard to sound "professional" that they end up sounding like everyone else. Polished. Forgettable. Indistinguishable from the competition.
But the brands that get RECOGNIZED? They lean into who they actually are.

New blog up β€” what brand voice really is, why imposter syndrome keeps most businesses sounding generic, and how to start showing up like yourself again πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Most small business owners water down their voice trying to sound "professional." Here's why writing how you talk is the most powerful brand move you can make.

🌳 A tree grows in two directions β€” up AND down.

🌱 Most brands only grow one.

Branches = visible growth (social media, content, ads, followers)
Roots = invisible growth (brand identity, consistency, trust, story, community)

The strongest brands didn't get there by chasing more followers. They got there by building deeper roots β€” consistency, story, identity. The stuff no one applauds for, but everything else stands on.

If you missed this week's blog, here's the full breakdown β€” including a simple way to tell which side of YOUR brand needs more attention πŸ‘‡

A tree that only grows up β€” falls. 🌳

Most brands are only growing in one direction. Chasing followers. Posting more. Running ads. Watching the numbers climb. It looks like growth β€” but it's only half of it.

Branches = visible growth (followers, posts, reach, ads)
Roots = invisible growth (brand identity, consistency, trust, story, community)

The brands that LAST? They grew in both directions on purpose. The ones people dress up as for Halloween (looking at you, Flo πŸ’—). The ones whose slogans become everyday language. That's roots running deep.

And the same lesson scales down. When your customers call your employees by name, when regulars order their "usual," when people in town say "you HAVE to check out [your business]" β€” those are roots too.

New blog up breaking down what to focus on, how to tell which side needs more work, and why most marketing struggles aren't content problems β€” they're foundation problems

Here's a question for every small business owner: when's the last time YOU were in one of your own photos? πŸ’—

Most businesses post photos of:
✨ A new display
✨ A finished product
✨ An empty storefront at sunset
✨ A perfectly plated dish

All beautiful. All missing the most important part β€” the people.
People don't connect with products. They connect with people.
The regular at the counter. The kid trying on sunglasses. The owner unboxing a new arrival. THAT'S what stops scrolls and starts conversations.

New blog up with a real-world example (228 likes, 16 comments, 8 shares from a single community post) and exactly how to start putting people back into your content. πŸ‘‡

A perfect product photo gets crickets. A real photo of a customer gets engagement. Here's why people β€” not products β€” are the real story.

Real talk β€” that gorgeous logo you love? It might not actually be working for your business. πŸ’—

Here's what we see all the time:
A small business owner gets a beautiful, super-detailed logo (often AI-generated these days). It looks stunning on their website. Then…

❌ A nonprofit asks to put it on a pink event tee β€” it's a wash
❌ The embroiderer can't stitch the tiny details
❌ One-color print jobs turn it into a blur
❌ It only really works in ONE place

A great logo isn't the most detailed one. It's the one that works everywhere β€” full color, one color, on a tee, in embroidery, on a sign.

Just dropped a new blog with the full breakdown β€” including a quick "embroidery test" you can run on your own logo right now to see if it's actually working as hard as your business does. πŸ‘‡

A great logo isn't the most detailed one β€” it's the one that works everywhere. Here's how to fix yours if it's only working on a screen.

You order custom tees from one shop. A sign from another. Both companies do exactly what you ask.

Then you stand back and realize… they don't even look like the same business.

That's not a printer problem. That's a brand consistency problem. And it's one of the most common things I see with small businesses.

The fix is simpler than you'd think β€” a brand guide. Even a mini one with your logo files, colors, and fonts can completely change how put-together your business looks.
Just dropped a new blog breaking down what a brand guide actually is, why it matters, and what to put in yours.

✨ Welcome to Pink Perspective Tuesday ✨

Every Tuesday, I'm sharing a real take on marketing, branding, and showing up for your business β€” the honest stuff, not the fluff.

This week's perspective: Safe marketing is the riskiest thing you can do right now.

Safe feels smart. Professional. Grown-up. But here's the thing β€” when everyone sounds the same, polished ends up being another word for forgettable.

I break it all down in this week's post β€” including the moment I caught myself using one of my own "words to avoid" on my own website (the irony was not lost on me πŸ˜…).

Safe marketing feels professional β€” but it's quietly making your business invisible. Here's why authentic, risky marketing wins every time.
