Did you know that the non-government organization Main Street America is the country's leading nonprofit which dictates and governs how city's maintain, market, and present their downtown spaces?

This overreaching power from a private entity gives no room for We The People to have a say in what our city's are represented as, or to whom controls such, because it too has its own satellite organizations to do their bidding like Downtown Salisbury, Inc, where if you're not in their Good Ol' Boys club, then you're a stand-alone business which may or may not get promotional support or financial relief.

The American Dream may work in other ways of today's version of entrepreneurship, but if it includes a Downtown storefront in Salisbury, or many other municipalities to that extent, then you'll be heavily regulated, subjected to politicized favoritism, and possibly outcasted if your business doesn't follow their demands.

Supported businesses who play the game always get their special treatments, be it the South Main Book Company with their filthy drag story time readings, Shugs with their rainbow fanatics, Fish Bowl with their in-your-face intent of being a "safe space" for the progressive elite, or Pottery 101 who willingly plasters a poster once in a while on their storefront square window for all to see. Whatever the virtue signal may be, they'll do it to appease the higher power that feeds them.

Can you survive without their directive? Surely, but good luck fighting thier rental rate pricing:

Antifa is a recognized and targeted international terrorist organization bent on spreading the doctrine of communism and sewing deliberate division through domestic violence, public demonstrations, and hostility towards political adversaries, their friends, and families, with no regard to civil discourse.

Antifia is widely popular on the left side of politics and is even promoted by local Democrat idiot Scott Huffman. It's safe to say we have enemies in our backyards, clean it up.

Although our efforts of targeting radical businesses is primarily focused on downtown, Boycott Salisbury goes beyond that district to cover the entire city as a whole for the oversight and protection of real commerce and patronage from radicalism in public storefronts

Did you know that the rise of Fascism in Europe throughout the early 20th century praised private organizations being maintained for government oversight entirely separate from any elected office? Today we call those non-governmental organizations, NGO's, where one body has untold power to dictate how a public space is represented, modeled after, or even managed over, with full authority to provide recommendations to actual politicians to do their work without the people's consent.

That sounds sneakily authoritarian, doesn't it? Think again, the City of Salisbury has a big one called Downtown Salisbury, Inc, which dictates how our historic Downtown is managed, what businesses are allowed to operate, and who gets special treatment compared to others in the game of favoritism and storefront leases.

Downtown Salisbury, Inc, or DSI, is a textbook Non-governmental organization, NGO, which is a satellite of the larger national parent group Main Street America. MSA is responsible for DSI's recent redesign and resurfacing of Salisbury's Main Street in downtown with trees, benches, that middle turning lane, and of course, the phases not yet completed yet.

Why does an organization which belongs to another national organization have more authority over our elected officials than that of We The People of Rowan County? That's representation we don't have which we should, and that elitist approach rivaling our interests is coincidentally paralleled with businesses Downtown on our boycott list. Funny, isn't it?
