Such a special day for our sweet Georgie’s blessing! I wanted to share a little about my girl’s name. When I found out four and a half years ago that I was pregnant with Lola, I felt pretty strongly that it was going to be a girl! And I wanted to name her Georgia. I loved the name, but I also felt very emotionally attached to it. Long story short, I couldn’t get Pierce on board and we had our sweet Lola.
Then when we found out our next baby was a girl, I was determined to name her Georgia! Pierce wanted to name her Cecilia, a name special to us for other reasons but I still felt so drawn to Georgia. Pierce told me if the baby was born on my birthday we could name her Georgia. She was barely born on my birthday BUT immediately when she arrived the song Cecilia and the Satellite started playing and I knew she was Cecilia!
I was still SO drawn to the name Georgia I felt emotional about it. But I didn’t know that I’d ever have another baby much less another girl. So when we very unexpectedly found out we were pregnant again, and with another girl, it made all the sense in the world. I finally got my Georgia! It’s the first baby that we didn’t even talk about her name throughout the pregnancy, we just knew she was Georgia. Our sweet girl we didn’t know we needed (even though a part of my heart absolutely knew).✨🦢
