The last excerpt of Chapter 1 is up and live and though it is the and of the first chapter, it is only the beginning of Conor’s story. It’s a short one this time but hopefully a heartfelt one. Drop me a line in the comments if you’ve been following along and like the story so far!!

Welp, here it goes. I’ve had this idea about a story blog in my head for a while now. Then i saw a friend of mine do something similar on social media and i was like “there that’s what i’ve been thinking of doing”. So, here i go: https://substack.com//note/p-177775969?r=6iz0oa&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action

I get a lot of people asking me what i am drawing all the time. Some of it is random, i’ll admit, but part of it is a story. A story that’s been running in my head and entertaining me for over 20 years or so now. I never thought it was a book exactly, as it felt more like episodes in my head, but drawing it took forever—so a comic was out—and it’s a touch unrealistic to think any tv networks gonna randomly call some bank marketer in Utah asking about tv show ideas. 😂

So i decided to share it via social. I’m going to try to post a bit of it monthly. This first part takes about 10 mins to read. Feedback is welcome. I know where i want it to go, but it’s a living story so thoughts, ideas and even fan art (should i be so lucky) is welcome and encouraged.

Hope you all enjoy. ☺️

Been meaning to post this for a bit. Here is a drawing i did of my Grandpa Joost. Weird to think that both my dear grandpas have passed away now, but glad i can hold on to their memories and draw pictures of them to remember them by. ☺️

Progress shot: this thing is taking forever but i’m liking it a little more each day . 🤞🏻🥲🎨👩‍🎨

Entered my Shoshone Falls piece into the Utah State Fair this year and got a second place ribbon. I love entering art into the fair. Reminds me of my 4H days. Thank you to the judges this year for the honor.

My next art piece is underway and this one is going to be tough. Not only is the canvas larger than i have ever worked on (20x28) but the photo i am working from has so much detail. It’s going to take a while but I’m excited to paint something from my trip to Germany last year. 🥰🤞🏻😬😳🙏

Just finished up this acrylic painting and i think it’s my best one yet. I love going to shoshone falls. It has a very special place in my heart for its breathtaking beauty and the fun memories.

I made this and gave copies to a few friends who have made the journey to the falls with me. I also made it for my boss who just retired last week.

Roger has been an unforgettable influence in my life since i started working at Bank of Utah 4 years ago. He’s given me so much confidence, and is a great example to me of patience and kindness. He has boundless energy, is always so happy to see everyone and gives great advice but lets you manage and lead projects yourself. On the rare occasion that we have an unhappy customer walk in, Roger was always the first to greet them and within 5-10 mins he’d usually have the person laughing and shaking hands with him.

I will miss Roger around the office a lot, but i’m excited for him and all the things he now gets to do in retirement. ☺️
