Five and a half years into this, and I still leave sessions feeling like the luckiest woman in the world that I get to do the work that I do.

I’ve watched executives walk in wanting to look their best before their next headshots. Moms looking to feel like themselves again, after pouring into others for so long. And groups of girlfriends leave laughing because they’ve never seen each other look so good.

And every one of them walks out feeling a confidence they may not have known was possible!

You’re a business owner, and you see the value in how your employees show up, and how your business shows up right alongside them.

I recently took the drapes on the road for two days and set up at a local design firm. Eight women went through the full color analysis experience, and by the end, each one knew exactly which colors made her glow.

These women work in design, where image is currency, and the owner saw how it could be a win-win for everyone. The way her team shows up reflects on her business, and for a designer, that goes even further.

Five hours on a plane and I still walk off the flight looking pulled together. 😊

Department stores first, always, because they carry a little bit of everything: Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s.

Then it’s Spanx, Veronica Beard, Cinq à Sept, Chiara Boni La Petite Robe, MM LaFleur, Generation Love, Reiss, Maria Pinto, The Fold London, Karen Millen, Elie Tahari, White House Black Market, Ann Taylor, Scanlan Theodore, Milly, Adrianna Papell, and Ulla Johnson.

This ISN’T exhaustive. It’s just what’s top of mind when someone asks. I’m an equal opportunity shopper. It doesn’t matter the price point or the brand, I’m looking for the same three things everywhere: color, fit, and style working together.

And even if you and I have the exact same color season and the exact same style personality, my picks might not be yours at all. I could line up 100 people with identical profiles and get 100 completely different results.

I’ve heard this from clients, and I’ve felt it myself.

Shopping feels “harder” once you have the lens of color and style analysis.

You start noticing your colors and style everywhere, which means you also start noticing the absence of your color and style.

Then there’s timing. Some seasons stores are full of your palette, and some seasons you’ll walk out with nothing.

But here’s why I think this is actually the win for you:

First of all, you stop buying something because it’s on sale or because it looked good on a mannequin.

Every piece of clothing that you buy works for YOU, and actually gets worn instead of sitting in your closet with the tags on, only to be donated next year.

You also start being able to shop your wardrobe instead of feeling like you need a new outfit every time an event comes up.

And while it might be “harder” to find what you’re looking for, you’ll also know it when you see it. So in many ways, that makes shopping easier!
