What better way to introduce the first-ever employee at The Mija Collective than on Employee Appreciation Day?! World, meet Kennedy.
Kennedy applied for an internship with The Mija Collective in early 2024, and in true solopreneur fashion, I didn’t actually get around to bringing her on until the Fall of that year (oops). But hey, they say the best things are worth the wait—or something like that, right? From the moment we sat down for coffee, I could tell she was bright, full of potential, and, most importantly, someone who gets it.
After just a few months of killing it as a social media intern, it was obvious she needed to be a part of the team. So, in February 2025, she officially became the first-ever employee of The Mija Collective! (A historic moment, honestly.)
Kennedy now leads social media content ideation and creation for our clients across industries like education, home services, restaurants, and nonprofits. She’s a quick learner, jumps into client calls like a pro, and isn’t afraid to take the lead on creative projects—exactly the kind of teammate I dreamed of having.
But let’s be real: beyond the work, Kennedy joining the team also means I finally have someone to talk to during the workday again.
Kennedy, thank you for your hard work, your creativity, and for believing in what we’re building here at The Mija Collective. Most of all, thank you for trusting me as a mentor—I don’t take that lightly, and I’m forever grateful.
