To say my birthday was a success would be a crazy understatement. My bestie flew in from Seattle to celebrate with me, my boyfriend MADE me the most incredible, beautiful, delicious Garfield cake. And my nephew Jace made his first communion.

Caldo was always something I ate in the winter time, something my mom made, super simple ingredients, cooking on the stove all day. The other day I wasn’t feeling well and my bf’s mom came through with really good caldo and it just made me feel like a kid.

I’m getting back to drawing and sketching and using my hands outside of the computer and it feels good. I have been missing illustration and making silly things.
