Job Description

Willcox Metal fabricators is a growing sign company in the south Texas area. We pride ourselves on our fine craftsmanship and our outstanding customer service. Currently, we are seeking energetic, committed, problem solving team players with attention to detail to fill several full time positions in fabrication, vinyl, paint, lighting / assembly departments. Experience is preferred, but we are motivated to train individuals that possess positive attitudes and are forward thinkers.
Job Responsibilities

Fabricators:
• 2+ years’ experience in a Sign Shop environment preferred.
• Experience in working with hands and a good understating of measuring and cutting material to exact job specifications.
• Reading and understanding work orders and customer drawings
• Experience welding steel and aluminum.
• Have own hand tools

Fabricators apprentice
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and receive constructive criticism.
• Read a tape measure

Lighting / Assembly:
• Wiring of electric signs, including channel letters, cabinets, neon, LED displays, pylon signs.
• Reading and understanding work orders, and customer drawings.
• Experience in LED lighting preferred.
• Assembly of non-electric signs & electrical signs.

Vinyl:
• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full-color graphic images on a pre-determined substrate.
• Prepares substrates for application, which may include cutting, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application
• Weeds excess vinyl from computer cut images.
• Use Flexi design software.

Paint:
• Sand and prepares different substrates for paint application.
• Fix small dents with bondo and sanding blocks.
• Reading and understanding work orders and customer drawings.
• Pass a fit text for respirator
• Spray primers
• Load and unload paint booth.

Monday – Friday
7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Over time and some weekend may be required.
