Wandering the world is our passion. Hope Hey Y'all! My love for travel has always been with me from an early age.

My mother used to load me and my two siblings up in our car and head north thru Texas over to MO to see family. I always loved those trips, I would stare out the window dreaming of the future and far away places. Today I'm lucky enough to visit some of those far off places and share my travels and wanderings with you. I want others to know that dreaming about going to these places doesn't have to

be just a dream, it can be a reality. Anything is possible with a little determination and fearlessness. I believe that I wasn't put on this earth to sit in one place until I die, I'm meant to wander, explore, and experience other cultures. All I want to do is bring these things back home to you, my friends and inspire you and hopefully fuel your curiosity to wander the world. It doesn't have to be a scary thought or an unreachable goal, anything is possible. If money is an issue or time is an issue, please reach out so we can talk about how I can help make these dreams a reality. I'm the BEST budget traveler around and I'm wiling to help you travel if you're willing to do things on a budget. Let's talk!!

Yesterday was a day that proves it’s all worth it. Pretty much all day I was glued to my desk, head down grinding away stressed about work, stressed about the heat, stressed that I had not one second to go outside to check on water troughs. By the time I could leave my desk I was so full of anxiety I was mentally exhausted. I was feeding horses around 7 and happened to glance over at the longhorns who were about halfway down the pasture and I noticed San Jacinto standing weird. Yesterday I noticed she was acting very uncomfortable so I was anticipating her giving birth. I started to walk closer to her and realized she had just given birth. Lil TEX had just entered the world!! And just like that I realized it’s all worth it.

I’m very Texas pride today with my ranch outfit and barn flag. 🤣 I had to snag a photo with my girl, Lily. She’s my heart horse! She’s the horse I could ride blindfolded and trust she would do the right thing. She’s 30 and still the queen of TEXtopia Ranch….even if Delilah bullies her. I wish I could’ve seen her in her prime running barrels, I bet she was amazing.

This weekend has been pretty exhausting to say the least. From starting out with our new rescue mare, Poppy to ending with a crushing severe storm. Living out here can get wild and it’s full of ups & downs but we don’t live out here because it’s easy… it’s quite the opposite of easy but we wouldn’t trade it for the world. Thank god for good neighbors, family, and our faith! We will rebuild what we can and be hopeful our garden bounces back with some love and attention. Thanking god that we’re all safe, the animals are safe, and the house is still standing. ✨FYI: you can see the storm approaching behind Poppy in the first photo. 😬

After a year of hardly enough rain to grow a blade of grass we somehow had a phenomenal wildflower season. I’m blow away that’s it’s May and we still have loads of beautiful wildflowers. I’m also so thankful that we had that long downpour the other day. Our land and souls needed that rain badly. We’re crossing our fingers we get more rain this weekend. 🤞

Last night as we sat there waiting and praying for rain we tried to remember the last time we weren’t in a significant drought. Luckily we had a good downpour for about an hour… maybe? So happy for what we did get, we needed it.

Is it really spring in Texas if you don’t post a photo of bluebonnets? But really …. Is it REALLY spring because I’m currently prepping for a 30 degree night out here. 😖 Covering all my plant babies and crossing my fingers they don’t die.

This is one of the last times I was able to ride Lily before she retired and became a lady of leisure. I do miss riding her because she is hands down the best horse I’ll ever own. No other horse will ever compare to her. She knew her job and we were in tune as a team. Now she gets to sit back and watch me try and tame Delilah. I’m sure she loves it…. Until I drag her along with us for exercise. Jumping on Lyla this weekend so that’ll be fun after a long winter off. She’ll be great… 😵‍💫

Right when I THOUGHT I had trained the Longhorns to come in at night for treats, spring hit and the yummy grass in the pasture is way better than seeing my face. They do not care when I yell for dinner snacks now 😕 Oh we’ll, maybe they’ll remember me one day. Hope everyone has a great weekend kicking off spring break!

Happy Thursday friends! It’s been a crazy week with fly larva’s, work, and cleaning that I’m ready for a BREAK! Looking forward to a quick ride this weekend and we’re starting our garden layout which is daunting. (Because I don’t know what I’m doing) Any tips??

Today was one of those days that was totally exhausting but 100% gratifying. Justin and I got a crash course in thowin’, castrating and tagging calves. Although, Justin did all the hard work, I did get to learn while I snapped some photos. This kind of work is always so gratifying because you get to see your hard work pay off. Something about physically putting in a hard days work always make me feel so accomplished. We’re thankful for our amazing neighbors who took the time to teach us today and I’m sure they’re grateful for the extra hands even though they had to take a few extra mins to explain. Cowboy’n ain’t easy, y’all but we Love it.

Happy Texas Independence Day! I can’t express how much we missed Texas the 2 1/2 years we were gone. But to be honest we do miss things about TN too. We’ve named all our animals after Texas when we can. Lily & Lyla already had names but San Jacinto (pictured), Lady Bird, Pecos, Crockett, and Luckenbach all were blessed by Texan names. Catsy Cline is obviously a nod to TN but she got to Texas as fast as we could bring her. Born in Texas, raised in Texas, and being Texan is in our heart & soul!

Welp, it’s that time of year…. I mean, it’s early because it’s been in the 80s but the bluebonnets are starting to show up in the I’m slightly disappointed it’s early because that means they’ll disappear as fast as they appear but you can’t help but smile when they do decide to pop up. Crockett cameo!
