The Coronavirus has sent a shock through the world. First, in fear from the people, and second a serious toll on the economy. As tensions mount people have stopped their daily routines in fear on contraction, and have flocked to grocers to stock up on things in case of quarantine. This has caused a shortage of goods that is sending a second wave of fear throughout the people. Through this trying time we have to remember what is important. It can seem difficult to make decisions considering other people when panicked, but step back and think… “If I buy all of this (meat, toilet paper, water, eggs, produce) will there be enough for others who also have needs?”
With all that said, the bigger issue we may be facing is fear. The Coronavirus is very serious, but if we allow ourselves to only start thinking about ourselves then our system will shut down. Then, even the people who have stocked up will struggle. We must try to maintain life as usual, while being extra vigilant that we are being sanitary, and if we are experiencing any symptoms to self-quarantine. We can beat this as a community, we just need to work together. This is why The Three Legged Monkey, The Stetson Bar, The Ringer Pub, Stout House, Stout House Stone Oak, HangarPub-Naco, and The Hangar have decided to stay open. We want to give people a place where they can feel safe, where we are sanitary, and to keep those who work here employed. It is easy to let fear take over, it’s much hard to be brave and to make decisions for the greater good. Stay safe out there!
