Students at The College of Health Care Professions had the opportunity to receive advanced, hands-on EKG training in collaboration with August Heart.

This specialized training reflects the school’s commitment to providing real-world learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers in the medical field. CHCP extends its appreciation to the August Heart team and trainers, as well as instructor Ms. Diaz, for their dedication, expertise, and continued support in educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Live From The Southside Publisher April Monterrosa currently serves on the Small Business Advisory Commission (SBAC) after being appointed by Councilman Edward Mungia representing the very district where she was born and raised.

Established on February 18, 2021, the SBAC works with City leadership to review policies, regulations, and issues impacting small businesses outside of the SBEDA Ordinance, providing recommendations to City staff, the Mayor, and City Council.

This service reflects our continued commitment to advocating for small businesses and ensuring community voices, especially those from the Southside, are represented in citywide conversations.

SeaWorld and Partner to Move Rehabilitated Manatee from Texas to Florida for Return
