I met this guy downtown early one morning, it was pretty cold that day and I saw him walking with these shoulder pads that he had pulled from a dumpster.I had a brand new UPP jacket in my truck that I got to keep as a parting gift.

I asked him if he was cold and he said yes,I gave the jacket to him but told him I would give it to him in exchange for a pic of him with the shoulder pads on. I also wanted to know why the young man was homeless. I blurred the photo because after listening to his story I realized that’s how his life had been, a huge blur. It really saddens me to see such young people on the streets, no matter the reason they are there, they are still human.
