So I tried something last week that kind of bugged me. I asked ChatGPT to find a business like mine here in town, and the answers it gave were… rough. Wrong hours, missing services, and a couple of good local shops just didn’t show up at all.
That’s a problem, because that’s how a lot of people search now. They’re not scrolling Google anymore — they’re just asking an AI “who’s a good electrician near me” and going with whatever it says.
So I built a little tool that lets you check your own business. Type in your name and town, and it shows you what ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini actually find about you — and what they get wrong.
It’s free, and I mean actually free. No signup, no “enter your email to unlock your results” nonsense. I hate that stuff as much as you do. You run it, you see everything, that’s it.
I’m Joe, by the way — I run a small veteran-owned dev shop out of Floresville. If you run your business through it and something in the results surprises you, drop it in the comments and I’ll tell you what it means. Link’s in the first comment so this post doesn’t get eaten by the group filter.
