We're seeing wallpaper return in a big, beautiful way, and we love it!

We spotted original sketchbooks of decorative wall designs about 25 years ago and regretted not getting them... They'd serve us well now with inspiration.

These miniature terra cotta pots remind me to plant seeds now that it's officially spring. Here's my list...

_ basil
_ cilantro
_ radish
_ bean sprouts

Once sprouted, place the pots on a tray and display on a coffee table. :)

Let's identify the spices on this vintage silver spoons...

From left to right: paprika, turmeric, pepper medley, pink Himalayan salt. All of which I use.

I love this vignette and will re-consider ornate patterns when I next see a basketful of silverware.

Here's another beautiful memory I'd like to share from 2025...

An old friend invited me over for brunch (actually, someone I used to babysit!). We hadn't seen each other in over 20 years, and catching up was full of wonder, revelation, and truth.

My friend moved into this home that's been in his family for two generations. I loved it the moment I stepped inside... there were many mid-century pieces (objects and furniture) in excellent condition. It was glorious!

I had no idea my friend's grandmother was an artist and collector! I was in heaven and so grateful for the opportunity to 'meet' the grandmother through her wonderful collection. This is what I call "a legacy".

I'm reviewing some highlights in 2025...

A dear friend once alerted me to the gorgeous egret painting shown below. It was at Lula B's Design District in Dallas --

As a bird watcher, I loved it the moment I saw it... The elegant egret was elegantly poised, and the color palette matched my interior. But she caught me while making an afternoon cup of coffee. By the time I instructed her to buy, someone else had already snapped it up!

It amazes me how urgency stirs energies! I regret not reacting / instructing sooner.... but 10 minutes? I learned a lesson that day... always buy at love at first sight!
