Okay… can we have a little “LOOK AT US” moment?! 🥹🩵

Sometimes when you're busy running a small business, filling orders, fixing problems, learning new things, helping customers and figuring out what comes next… you forget to stop and look at how far you've come.
And then I looked at this little section of the Cali Mint website. 🥹
⭐ Amazing reviews from our customers

Like… WHAT?! 😭
Cali Mint started with me simply wanting to make things more affordably for my kids' PTA. I definitely didn't have this picture in my head back then.
But here we are.
And I'm especially proud because these aren't things we just wrote about ourselves. They're little pieces of proof built over time—from the people we've worked with, the experiences we've had, and the reputation we've worked hard to build.
So yes, I'm taking a second to brag about my little business today. 😂
And to every person who has ordered a $3 DTF transfer, trusted us with hundreds of prints, taken one of my classes, ordered custom merch, referred a friend, left a review, shared a post, or supported Cali Mint along the way:
YOU helped build this. 🩵
Thank you.
And if you haven't worked with us yet… well, apparently we've got some pretty good references. 😉😂

Why High-Resolution Artwork Matters for DTF Printing

Your DTF printer can produce incredible detail—but it can't create detail that isn't in the original file. Learn why high-resolution artwork, transparent PNG files, proper sizing and clean edges matter when ordering DTF transfers. Avoid blurry, pixelated shirt prints with these simple artwork preparation tips. Save this checklist before submitting your next DTF order.

Before you submit your next DTF order…
☐ Use the highest-resolution file available
Avoid blurry, pixelated or heavily compressed images.
☐ PNG is preferred
Especially for artwork that needs a transparent background.
☐ Make sure the background is truly transparent
A white background is still a background! Look for the checkerboard transparency when editing.
☐ Avoid screenshots whenever possible
Upload the original artwork/file instead.
☐ Create your artwork close to the final print size
A tiny image enlarged to 10–12" wide won't magically gain detail.
☐ Zoom in before submitting
Check for fuzzy edges, stray pixels, unwanted backgrounds and rough cutouts.
☐ Check small text & fine details
If something is extremely tiny on screen, it may not reproduce the way you expect when printed.
☐ Check your colors
Remember that colors can look slightly different between screens and printed products.
☐ Remove anything you DON'T want printed
DTF prints what is actually in the artwork—including little marks or background pieces you may have missed.

A little full-circle moment. 🥹💚

So grateful to be featured again in SDVoyager and have the opportunity to share a little more about my journey, Cali Mint Co., MintRaiser, and why supporting our community continues to be at the heart of everything I’m building.

Still kind of wild to see my story in print. 💚

It all started because I wanted to make hats cheaper for my kids’ PTA. 🥹

Seriously. That was it.

I wasn’t sitting there with some giant business plan thinking, “One day I’m going to build Cali Mint Co.”

I was a mom looking at what we were paying for PTA merchandise and thinking…

There has GOT to be a better way to do this. 😂

So I started figuring out how to make things myself.

One thing led to another.

Hats turned into shirts.
Shirts turned into printing.
Printing turned into DTF.
Then UVDTF.
Embroidery.
Custom products.
Teaching other makers.
Helping small businesses.
Schools and teams.
MintRaiser.
And now all of these new partnerships and ideas that somehow keep becoming real things. 💚

Sometimes I'm moving so fast trying to figure out what's next that I forget to look backward and realize:

Holy crap. Look how far we've already come.

Who would've thought that simply wanting to save my kids' PTA some money would eventually grow into all of this?

And we're still building.

Still learning.

Still dreaming way too big. 😂

There are a LOT of things I want Cali Mint to become that haven't happened yet.

But every once in a while, it's pretty amazing to realize that some of the things I'm living today were once the things I was only hoping for.

Turns out dreams really do come true. Sometimes they just start with a PTA hat. 🥹💚

And to every person who has ordered, referred someone, shared a post, taken a class, trusted me with an idea, supported one of my crazy new ventures, or simply cheered Cali Mint on:

Thank you. You are part of this story too.

And I have a feeling we're still somewhere near the beginning. 💚

If you've been here since the early Cali Mint days, tell me how you originally found us. I would genuinely LOVE to know. 👇

I’m so excited to share that my latest SD Voyager feature is officially live! 💚

This one feels especially meaningful because it shares not only how Cali Mint Co. began, but how much it continues to grow and evolve. I talk about the journey from creating spirit wear for my kids’ school to building a business centered around printing, education, problem-solving, MintRaiser, Brands by Cali Mint, and the new partnerships now taking shape.

I also had the opportunity to share how joining BNI East County has contributed to this next chapter. The relationships I’ve built there have led to new customers, collaborations, and the chance to create products for local businesses I personally know and genuinely want to see succeed.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported, encouraged, ordered, referred, collaborated, or helped open a new door along the way. I used to think I was building a business that made things—but I’ve realized I’m building a business that solves things. And honestly, I still feel like we’re just getting started.

I’d love for you to read the full feature here:
