She's one of the last "Rosie the Riveters," and still going strong at 104.

During WWII, Roberta “Randy” Tidmore helped build aircraft components before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps, where she served as a driver and transport specialist. Following her service, she built a career with United Airlines and became a dedicated advocate for veterans and military history. Her advocacy was on full display this week in support of Freedom Park at Burnham Navy Pier, soon to be the largest veterans park on the West Coast.

A shout out to Randy and every veteran who defends the universal values of freedom!

Last week provided some ‘smooth sailing’ for kids from the Perkins School, where some 30% of the student population is homeless.

The inaugural “Cruise-with-a-Cop” event sponsored by the San Diego Harbor Police Foundation gave many children their first opportunity to actually board a boat and experience San Diego Bay.

The highlight was a rendezvous with a pair of Harbor Police vessels that appeared with light flashing, sirens blaring and water blasting.

Having officially adopted the Grace Perkins K-8 School, the Foundation is working to upgrade the campus, provide financial aid and mentor students. All of us at LOMA are thrilled to support these ambitious efforts.

Special thanks to City Cruises and the cops, counselors and Foundation members who made this special day happen!

🏆 Gold at the Sandie Awards.

LOMA is honored to receive Gold recognition from the American Marketing Association in DEI communications for our regional awareness campaign on behalf of MMIP San Diego.

This award reflects work that truly matters to so many. It was an opportunity to help bring critical visibility to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons crisis while supporting ongoing efforts focused on education, action and real results.

Over the past year, our team has had the privilege of helping launch and grow MMIP San Diego through culturally grounded storytelling, strategic communications and the development of a trusted platform designed to elevate American Indian voices and strengthen community awareness.

We are grateful to MMIP San Diego and the Tribal Nations and partners who have trusted us to advocate for such an important mission!

This week, LOMA was on the ground in Orlando providing event coverage for our client DXC Technology at SAP Sapphire 2026.

As a Diamond Global Sponsor, DXC had a major presence throughout the multi-day conference, including live demos and immersive showcases introducing the future of enterprise AI.

We captured it all, coordinating fast-moving production logistics across the dynamic live event environment.

DXC’s presence at SAP’s “The Beginning of Better” flagship event focused on how enterprise AI is driving real business impact through Joule-powered SAP AI solutions, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), Databricks integrations and AI-driven innovation across Manufacturing, CPG, Public Sector and more.

A huge thank you to the DXC team for having us out there to support the event coverage. Proud to help bring DXC’s enterprise AI vision to life!

How's this for a refreshing moment?

Civic leaders and elected officials of both parties poking fun at themselves, and all for a great cause—Voice of San Diego’s 2nd annual Off The Record event, a sold out celebration of press freedom and investigative journalism that netted over $100,000 for non-profit journalism.

LOMA was proud to produce the highlight of the evening—a series of edgy video skits that drew huge laughs during their one (and only) screening. Lots of fun and a unanimous clamor to do it all again next year. (That’s Off the Record, of course.)

Today is National Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day!

LOMA stands with MMIP San Diego and its growing coalition of Tribal leaders, advocates and community partners working to bring greater awareness to the MMIP crisis.

As MMIP San Diego moves into its second year, what began as a coalition of four founding Tribal Nations has grown to include nine Tribal Nations across the County, along with the Strong-Hearted Native Women’s Coalition–more than doubling its reach and strengthening a coordinated regional response.

In the weeks ahead, keep an eye out for MMIP San Diego billboards. We’re helping to elevate awareness and amplify this important message across the region, proudly supporting the mission through ongoing creative partnership and campaign development.

To learn more, access resources and follow the coalition’s work, visit MMIPSD.org and follow their social channels.

Awareness leads to action. Voices lead to change!

Yesterday, LOMA was on-site at Santa Monica College’s Center for Media and Design capturing the Design Leadership Foundation’s 3rd Annual Workshop.

Bringing together architecture, landscape architecture and design professionals with students, the event created space for mentorship, career conversations and portfolio feedback — connecting the next generation of creatives with industry leaders.

This year’s panel, "Designing for Recovery: Insights from the Palisades and Altadena Fires," highlighted how design plays a critical role in rebuilding and resilience.

Through event coverage and interviews with students and industry professionals, we documented the conversations and connections shaping the future of design.

We’re proud to support work that bridges education, industry and real-world impact.

Last night LOMA attended the KPBS ‘One Small Step Experience’ event, part of the station’s Public Matters initiative sponsored by our client, the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians. 🤝

The evening brought together leaders from San Diego’s business and labor communities for a thoughtful conversation, followed by audience engagement that encouraged genuine connection and positive understanding.

Programs like One Small Step, developed in partnership with StoryCorps, create space for meaningful dialogue across different perspectives. The goal is to strengthen community connection, reduce polarization and embrace our shared humanity.

Kudos to the Rincon Tribe and KPBS for advancing this important mission!
