time to talk metrics! 📈
You can look at reach, impressions and follower growth as much as you want, but do those data points actively support your goal in social media? 📣

There's a lot of alternative metrics out there, but let's take a look at some that may work for an event or small business: Net sentiment, brand mentions, and referral traffic. We can attach some sort of number to all 3 of these, but what do they actually mean? 🧐

Net Sentiment: the overall positive, neutral, or negative sentiment expressed about a brand or campaign. 🤩
Brand mentions: the number of times a brand or campaign is mentioned on social media. 💬
Referral traffic: the amount of website traffic that comes from social media channels. 🖥

Try looking into some other metrics next time you're collecting your data! You may find something new to tweak, or a hidden gem! 💎

- signed 3 brand new clients
- re-signed 2 returning clients
- went to Western Fairs Association (our 2nd largest industry convention)
- hired our intern! (heyyy aubrey)
- reorganized our CRM
- updated our contracting & proposal process

Producing quality, engaging content for just one platform is going to be better than putting out half-assed content on four platforms. 🙃

Sticking to one or two platforms will be less overwhelming if you're just starting out, and gives you time to learn how to navigate social marketing on your chosen platform. 🥳
