I recently partnered with the BECNT Business Enterprise Centre NT .official to teach a brand photography workshop for small business owners in the Northern Territory, Australia. The participants came from a wide range of industries, from health food businesses and art centers to psychology and counseling services.

We covered the basics of taking better photos, shooting portrait not landscape for social media, editing consistently with the Lightroom app, color theory and brand psychology in building a visual style that matches your brand as consistency builds trust and trust drives conversions.

Thank you to Business Enterprise Centre NT for having me, I had a great time and to the students for being willing to learn.

Celebrating Komai Studio’s recent partnership with the Business Resource Center at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation! We had a great turnout and received a lot of positive feedback and participation for our in-person website workshop.

During the workshop, I discussed key elements for creating a professional online presence, including branding, navigation, content quality, mobile responsiveness, SEO, and a strong domain name. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized guidance, making the workshop interactive and engaging.

Grateful for the opportunity to empower small businesses through our collaboration with the Jacobs Center. Thank you to everyone who attended and provided feedback. Stay tuned for updates!

Being a part of the Small Business Development program at Access non-profit has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Working with micro-entrepreneurs and the USD School of Business MBA/PMBA graduate students program has been a highlight of my year. It's been amazing to see the unique perspectives and creativity that each person brings to the table. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from and work alongside such a talented and dedicated group of people.

I am constantly impressed by the hard work and expertise of our team, including Small Business Program Manager Julieta Gonzalez, Small Business Developer Yolanda Villa, Professor Kevin Guerrieri, and Professor Wenli Xiao from USD Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness, and Social Action. The sheer dedication, unwavering vision, and remarkable leadership of these individuals have been nothing short of inspirational. Together we have been able to achieve amazing results and make a sustainable impact in our community.

Celebrating the absolute joy to be a part of this program and team has been a privilege and an honor.

I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting our first in-person Website workshop partnering with the Business Resource Center at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation on Wednesday, March 15th.

Excited to launch Komai Studio. I started a marketing consulting business which I have been doing internally for a local non-profit in San Diego and have recently decided to branch out on my own. The reception has been great and I am looking forward to the upcoming workshops and one-on-one small business projects in 2023.

Komai Studio’s objective is to increase the retention and growth of small businesses through teaching effective marketing.
