Today I visited the Canva Brandwagon x 🎨 One of the stops of the

I made sure to stamp my passport at every destination: Design school, discovering new features, creating social media content, plus a free coffee bar, treats, prints, totebags and more.

I can’t say I had much faith in Canva when it just started some years ago, but now I’ve included it to my toolbox as a designer and brand strategist.

Yes, I’ve explored most of it’s design tools, but the biggest change it’s brought to my business is that my clients can now have designs they can update and edit themselves quickly and easily. I can focus on creating, they have the freedom of updating information, sharing, exporting different formats or resizing in minutes.

Also, it’s AI capabilities have surprised me again and again✨

As a creative, I’m always searching for new tools to create solutions for my clients’ challenges, and today I’ve got to experience one of those tools beyond the screen 🩷

I remember that feeling; the rush of excitement. An idea was born in my head, something clicked in my mind and a wave of energy went straight to my heart. “I’ve got an idea, I’ll create my own business. I’ll be an entrepreneur, it makes sense! I’ll never get bored! I’ll decide my own limits!”

If you’re like me, the emotion that comes with new ideas can be strong; but then, after a few days, I start looking for reasons why that idea won’t work. Maybe I mask it as being realistic.

Although I consider myself to be a fairly optimistic person, sometimes I think my idea just wasn’t good enough.
